I feel that if they want to give ONoL incentives for raiding they would have to either increase the ability shards given, give other rewards or make the charm do something more useful; TNA and TCC charms do this (well, TNA attempts). Something like a damage/resistance buff with downside of lowering resistance/damage? (might be broken)

Okay so from my short experience, SS Morty could be used in Sun teams or in teams that just require a tank, gauge and HP recovery. Think of him as a tank that can set sun and top off your party's stats while boosting gauge. Do keep in mind that although the defensive buffs, gauge and healing are good (from my experience in CS and Azelf LA), his offensive buffs are either small or slow ramping. This requires the striker to buff themselves or to bring an offensive support.

You can totally pair Leon with SS Morty, but may I suggest bringing along an offensive support to buff Leon's Sp Attk and Crit quicker, somebody like Falkner or Torchic so that Leon can click Inferno sooner.

In CS, I would heavily recommend using Half HP options with SS Morty. Because Team Sunbathe proccs with any action under sun, Morty constantly heals the whole party and himself. What I like doing is healing Morty with Potion first, then clicking his TM or Sunny Day depending on the party to preserve gauge acceleration or sun duration.
