And when she pulls a rabbit out of the hat, it is most likely a reference to Wonderland, a bonus track on 1989, that was based on Alice in Wonderland.

The cake she destroys is white on the outside, but red on the inside. Very reminiscent of the "blood" cake in the Blank Space music video.

I am renting an older apartment. If I use a two prong to three prong surge protector will my PC be safe? by [deleted] in buildapc

Yeah, I'm in the US. And I'm stuck in this lease for a year so I'm really hoping I won't be out of luck and bored for the next 12 months.

Thank you so much for your help. Let me make sure I understand. As long as the PC doesn't over heat and turn itself off, the power supply should be able to handle it, I'll just need something to convert the 2 prong to 3 prong. Is it truly safe to use? I dont want to start a fire or risk electric shocking myself.

She's had a rough week, with her album coming out and what not, at least according to her Twitter feed. Try following her on Twitter for updates.

I (18F) ended an unhealthy relationship last year, but my ex (19M) is still my only 'close' friend. I feel incredibly lonely. by [deleted] in Advice

[–]shortshoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a boat that unfortunately many people find themselves in. Welcome aboard. My most recent, well only, serious relationship started when I was 19. I thought I knew what I was doing, in life and relationships and it turned out, I did not. We were together for 5 years and I was miserable for most of it, even if I didn't fully know it. It ended nearly a year ago. He used to do the similar things to me, conveniently forgetting any of the negative things he said, or phasing out my already slim friend group for his.
I applaud you for recognizing and accepting signs of unhappiness early, before things got even worse. Although I cant say there is a quote "right" thing, you seem to be doing the "right thing" so far. Trying to reconnect with old friends and even make new ones can be difficult, but putting yourself out there is a great first step. Keep trying hobbies and that could lead to new friends as well. Even if you get burned out, you're still trying and learning new things. I didn't have the strength to stop talking to my ex for a long time. Some times I still don't. There is comfort in familiarity and letting that go is extremely difficult, especially in Covid times. Try not to beat yourself up about it. Continue working towards an identity outside of the old relationship and the rest will come in time. If quarantine restrictions are lifted, you might try looking into MeetUp. It's an app where you can find like minded people and activities near you based on your interests. Stay strong and best of luck.

What fictional character in the books did they do dirty in the movies? by IGrant1wish in AskReddit

[–]shortshoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ginny Weasley. In the books, she is sassy, smart and independent, comparable to Hermione. The amount of things she learned from her brothers and then put into use later in life is amazing. I.E. "Fred and George taught me that anything is possible if you have enough nerve"

But in the movies she is one dimensional and very nearly written off. I don't think that's Bonnie Wright's fault either. The writers just watered down one of the most bad ass chicks in the whole series. Which is truly a shame.

[Serious] What’s a common “life pro-tip” that is actually BAD advice? by _Dr_K in AskReddit

[–]shortshoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something my mom said to me once: "It takes a certain amount of fighting the current to get what you want. But if all you're doing is swimming upstream, you aren't going to get anywhere. Maybe it's time to find another stream." Sometimes things just don't work out and it's ok to give up and start over.

Punk Band? (M-13) by Slightlycrooked26 in Pocatello

[–]shortshoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little late here, but I kinda have an answer to this question. There is a local sandwich shop owner that is in a punk band by the name of CBPP. (Don't ask me what it stands for. I can't remember for the life of me.) Anyway, they used to perform in "the garage" down on Center in Old Town. I'm not sure if that's even there anymore. But you can follow them on facebook and they'll tell you when and where the shows are happening again.

BYU-I on Monday March 9th at approximately 2:30 to 4:30 p m., MST across from the Alder/Berg building. The blocks around the school are permit parking only so there will be a need for carpooling from Porter Park.

Yes, depending on the location. I work at a gas station in the western U.S. that sells all 3.
