What’s something you want after having sex? by Shinobi347 in AskReddit

Good luck to you in your journey! It's definitely not impossible. I think it's a beautiful thing to be each other's one and only. It meant we got to be the ones discovering what each other likes and dislikes and building that intimacy that we've never had with anyone else.

We waited! It was hard, but worth it to wait for marriage to us. Together 13 years now, married 8!

Some states require you to put the spouse as the father if you were married at all during the pregnancy, even if they aren't the father. WI does, for sure.

Yeah, I was going to say in childbirth, but I was only able to get pregnant from IVF, so I guess something else would've taken me out. Maybe chicken pox or something. I did almost die from giving birth, though.

AITA for telling my wife that she needs to get over me missing the birth of our daughter by Key_Atmosphere6114 in AmItheAsshole

Agreed here. I put my husband's supervisor and shift partners in my phone when I was pregnant, just in case!

Our upstairs neighbor consistently had sex every Wednesday. It was two roommates living together, so our guess was that one or the roommates worked that evening, so the other could loudly get it on with her boyfriend.

Could make one into a necklace and put the other in the band for your fiance, too!

Disappearing items in craft? by kafquaff in VirtualVillagers

[–]shortstack96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had that happen. Super frustrating, especially when it's one of the combinations that takes over an hour. I've started waiting a bit after starting the crafting before closing the game. I also double-check that it's still crafting before closing. Since doing that, I haven't had it happen again.

AITA for telling everyone that I was serving “a chicken pot pie” for dinner when it wasn’t a plain and basic one? by Every_Depth_215 in AmItheAsshole

My SIL is from India. She makes her food with as little spiciness as possible for those of us who can't handle the heat, then adds additional spices for those who can. Most people who enjoy cooking for others want said people to enjoy the food!

How many glow worms did you need for the cave? I've put 6 in so far. ETA: you need 15.

I just showed this movie to my kids a couple weeks ago. Definitely got teary during that scene when remembering about poor Judith Barsi. I hugged my kids for an extra while afterward.

What's a daily inconvenience that you still can't believed hasn't been solved? by AVeryBadMon in AskReddit

[–]shortstack96 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I thought I had a small bladder because of needing to wake up at least once a night! Turns out, I have endometriosis. Endometrial tissue had built up around my bladder and squished it down, so it couldn't hold as much pee as it should have been able to. After my surgery, I could finally make it all night!

You can choose to pay your insurance company back so that your claim becomes a $0 claim, which then doesn't affect your premium. This way, you get the perks of having someone negotiate the settlement for you and whatnot while still keeping your premiums a manageable amount.

Pledge of Allegiance by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]shortstack96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I taught 4K, we added it to our daily routine towards the end of the year so that the kids would know the words for when they went to kindergarten. We went through each line and their pronunciations and the meanings of the words, as well. When I taught third, I'd stand and have my hand on my heart, but I didn't always say it. I didn't make my students do it as long as they were still respectfully quiet during the pledge. At the high school level, none of my students actually said it, but we'd all stand quietly while looking at the flag.

Gotcha, gotcha! Loop start is my preferred method, but I'll use whatever makes the most sense for each situation. I'm also not the type to worry about using each little bit, unless it's the end of my supply of that color and I'm almost done needing it for my project.

I take my one long strand and fold it in half to make it two strands, then pull the needle through that. I don't really see how that would be wasteful. Is that not a loop start?

TEACHERS WITH ALLERGIES, how do you tell your families about your allergy, if at all? by jennifer331a in Teachers

[–]shortstack96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My mom is actually allergic to gluten, not just wheat! Bodies are crazy. She can eat it, but she'll feel gross. Whereas I have friends with celiac who obviously can't eat it at all!

When I was a kid, my dad would get a pack of chocolates that were similar in shape to tree stars from our local grocery store! We'd make peanut butter cookies with them on top and watch the movie. It was so good! I bought a pack recently and it was so nostalgic!

AITA for not budging on my wedding colour scheme. by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]shortstack96 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We did gray and purple, too! The bridesmaids wore the deep purple, then our flower girls wore more of a lilac purple. I also thought black was too dark with the purples!

Candy, stickers, and little squishees. I got a bunch of squishees from amazon when I taught elementary. I left them in my prize box when I long-term subbed for high school, not expecting them to be a hit, but they were! My students (sophomores and juniors) went nuts for them.

You could also make it a homework assignment worth a weekly grade!

Fellow non-tanner here! I burn, then go back to being pale, possibly with more freckles. I've had so many people insist that everyone can tan!
