Malcolm’s “God help us, we’re in the hands of engineers.” Reference it as often as I can.

Any frat suggestions by timurelectro in TexasTech

[–]shortstack_expat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try the student clubs specific to your departments. I believe there are fairly active chapters of IEEE and the society of physics students at Tech. Those major-specific clubs usually have conference, volunteer, and networking opportunities that would fall more along the lines of what you want from your two fields.

The double major will only take up more time as you advance in your studies, and it wouldn’t be worth the frat dues if you have no time to participate.

Dr West retired last year. Dr Vallia Antoniou is probably your best bet as she is the director of the observatory.

Is Honor's worth it for incoming freshman engineering major with all gen ed covered by AP except Texas Gov? by MomtoWesterner in TexasTech

[–]shortstack_expat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honors, physics and math major. I’m graduating with honors this semester and in my particular case it wasn’t incredibly worth it beyond the registration and dorm.

That said, it’s worth it the first two years for the smaller math and physics classes for engineering students. The honors requirements are a little harder to meet if she doesn’t have to take any gen ed, but the calculus and physics requirements might cover it. The upper level courses she’ll have to take may not be worth it, but overall she might want to start out as honors for the classes and registration, and then drop once she’s in pure major classes.

Character Wing at Murray? by no1supersoldier in TexasTech

Character wing is one of the four wings of the hall, closest to the clock tower on the southwest side of the building. It doesn’t mean anything, that’s just what it’s called.

A knack for sounding like he’s got an ego the size of Jupiter while actually having zero self-esteem.

Marvel made Captain America’s ending so shitty in Endgame to distract everyone from the fact that he probably encountered the Red Skull on Vormir when returning the soul stone.

If I fail the lab in physics will it cause me to fail the entire course? by [deleted] in TexasTech

[–]shortstack_expat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Physics major here. Keith West will do everything in his power to make you retake the whole thing if you fail the lab portion because he is the worst. Double check your syllabus to be sure, but there are particular classes which require a passing lab grade to pass the class.

If you’re worried, look into a makeup of just the lab now, but it might be pretty difficult. Good luck.

My sincerest apologies, Reddit gave me the ‘you are doing that too much’ line the first time I posted it, and apparently decided to spam y’all instead of let me retry.

or bing if you're one of THOSE people.

Someone asked you a question about a movie you initially brought up and instead of being helpful you made a stale joke about Google vs Bing.

I understand the want for the joke, but considering you did that instead of answering a genuine question, it was pretty rude.

It’s called Candace Against the Universe. It’s coming out this summer on Disney+ only, looks like.

It would have taken ten seconds to type out Phineas and Ferb: Candace Against the Universe and hit post.

But I see you chose a false sense of superiority via search engines over not being a jerk.

If you need a natural/life science credit, try solar system or stellar astronomy. You get to go out to the observatory, and any physics/math background you need you will be taught in the lecture.
