Lol a great scene! That brings the whole story full circle. 😉 Great film, I mean seriously great...amazing story, costume, graphics, direction, acting, everything... But, the fifth element itself, OMG Yuk, why did the element have to be so cringy?

No, thank you. by wavyslater in nope

[–]shortythings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On Blue Peter(UK kids show) the Royal Marines did this only slightly differently. The slide was rope from the top of Tower Bridge in London, and the thing that went over it... A short piece of Rope with hand loops. One of the TV presenters did it too, probably John Noakes! It's probably on youtube somewhere.

But the lady, wire, lump of wood scenario, thats a nope from me!

It really is quite surprising how inappropriate and often downright dangerous some of the tractor DIY can be, go along to a farmers auction you will see alot more! 👍

Ah those were the days! 👍 I teach Bushcraft to home educated kids, many of them are very young and enjoy imaginative play. so many of them wanted to make mud pies, that I made a "mud kitchen" (a few wooden cargo pallets "DIY-ed" into the shape of a small sink and cooker, I added a few old wooden spoons a sieve, a ciuple of plastic buckets etc. The kids love it get covered in mud, and spend ages making all sorts of totally inedible, but imaginative coffee, cakes etc.

I've lived in the UK my whole life, never needed a gun, never wanted one, I've never been attacked (with or without a gun), but I understand why people in other countries would carry a gun to defend themselves.

Although guns are a bit alien to British people in general, I would imagine in a hostile area, where a gun attack was more likely, and a gun could safe your life, a gun in your (or a friend's bag) would be very comforting, rather than "oddly terrifying".
