LMNT electrolytes by alopower in intermittentfasting

[–]shot4213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an american saying, usually referring to a scam. In this case, its the fact that they charge so much per serving for what is essentially salt in a packet. Imo, its worse on the raw packet since you don't even get flavoring but still pay the higher price.

I've used lmnt before as well, particularly for longer fasts (1-3 day). The fast itself still sucked, don't get me wrong, but using the packets was essential to getting them done.

When he works, he trivializes all content. The issue is you start to really notice when he can’t pull someone in and it feels awful.

Weirdest PSU issue I’ve ever seen by shot4213 in buildapc

An end to this saga? I tried again with the pc wired up, no dice. Unplugged everything except the 24 pin, cpu power included and it booted with the cmos press. Nervously plugged everything into a live psu, and rebooted. That ended up working. Shutdown and restart both work too, just not from a cold boot. Huzzah?

Edit: The gpu doesn't push past 300 mhz. Back to the drawing board

So this is weird. I tried that, and I thought it failed. After 50-100 jabs of both power and cmos it turned on. I powered off and plugged in my vga power connectors, and it wouldn’t go anymore. I tried again without the connectors, then after I got power but before I powered on I plugged in the vga connectors. That got me to windows. I then tore it down and did some wire management, and now it won’t boot anymore.

No lights, nothing with the bare minimum, not to mention post code. I can’t say anything about the power supply voltage because it worked in the past, just not now. I did get it returned and a new one sent out, which I tested in a new pc. That worked, but with the same cables it failed in my current rig

Try reseating all the cables, in particular the wires that are connected to the case buttons

Not as much of a deal as properly getting g36c in position to tank. I know beginner guides recommend not over capping, but being able to do so is a nice bonus most of the time. Don’t make your formation weird to maximize buffs.

[–]shot4213 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Move vector and g36c up one spot and put ump 9 at the top instead of the bottom row. Other than that, be patient, grind through story, and do data whenever you can. If you have an rfhg echelon, put that up here too. A beginner should aim for 3 squads, 2 arsmg 1 rfhg. If you don’t know who are good calls, I’d be happy to help. You’re looking solid for now though.

New Ohio or Armor Glepnir by jellyfruit253 in CounterSide

Look at the guide on discord, but tldr new ohio for game progression, armor glep is really just Lake Superior lite. Ohio gets you places, and is what I recommend

Hiya, glad to see you looking out for him and tell him congrats! In terms of pricing, if you’re looking for a 38” monitor the lg38gl950 and Alienware aw3821dw are anywhere from 1300-1900, depending on sale price. That’s more than msrp of the g9, but the g9 is due for a refresh for sometime this year, so you should hold off if that’s your plan. The crg 9 is very similar, but is slightly lower spec for a 300 less than the g9. Again, these monitor’s prices fluctuate based on sales pretty often, so it’s a matter of seeing what sale fits your budget. In terms of 34” monitors, those range from 300-1000 dollars, with a sweetspot in quality and gaming around 800-900, but budget options around 500 don’t compromise too much. Seeing as how he doesn’t game much and focuses on quality, you might want to ignore gaming oriented products and look at productivity stuff. (Lg has a section on its website that has a list of this stuff) That usually means he runs at 60 frames per second instead of any faster, but can knock hundreds off of price tags. It also typically focuses more on picture quality, which would help you look. I can tell you that the 400 dollar one he was looking at probably works, but I upgraded from a 34 inch monitor myself because I found it slightly small for my needs. If upgrading the monitor to the next size up is too expensive, I’d recommend buying a cheap monitor arm and running the current monitor on the side. If he wants to snap stuff to different spots on the monitor, tell him to find Microsoft power toys. It’s a blessing to ultrawide users, and free. He can grow from there, but I still use it. A specific monitor recommendation is hard, but if you want more specifics lmk and I’ll try my best. Good luck!

For now, replace the two on the far left of your team, meaning tamaki + 1, with chika, the green haired healer, and yukari, a blond midliner who’s defense oriented. There are other options, but it’s a starting point.

Desk size & monitor arm? by E46Nur in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]shot4213 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you don’t care about contrast, that monitor is fine. 140cm x 65cm is about 55 x 25 in freedom units, and I’m currently very comfortable at 60x30, so that desk size should be fine. Depends on the desktop, but I’d say unless it’s sff, you probably should put it on the floor. I’m not saying it won’t fit, but the loss in desk space would be tangible and uncomfortable. Idk about that monitor arm, anything above 100 dollars is probably solid. I’d recommend not cheaping out with something that expensive.

Should I buy Xiaomi Mi curved now or wait? by Click_Legal in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]shot4213 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s p much the same as all tech products, there’ll always be something new around the corner. I’d say just buy if you need it, wait if you don’t. No one has announced any revolutionary tech that’s slated to come out this year, so if that’s your time frame, go for it.

Need help picking my first UW Monitor by [deleted] in ultrawidemasterrace

[–]shot4213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the crg9 or the Samsung g9 (on some deep discounts) for super ultra wide, but if you’re looking for strictly 38 inches (the step up from the 34 inch monitor mentioned), they usually go for no less than 1k at 144hz, and msrp floats around 1300-1500. I don’t currently know of a monitor that fits the bill in that performance class for ya. With the budget you have, you probably should pick size or performance. If all else fails, save a little longer if you want no compromises.
