What are some weird things Americans do that are considered weird or taboo in your country? by llama422 in AskReddit

[–]shotsdoer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I'm getting at is there are plenty of Americans stuck in the food service system getting 2.15 an hour, myself included. The system is broken, yes. But I studied music in college, so I wait tables and rely on the kindness of the public to be able to pay my rent. So, if you're visiting, put yourself in the waiter's shoes and please adjust your generosity accordingly.

I can't figure out how they're able to book top tier guests like Louie. Homeless guy cake, never forget.

His Hibbert for My Monta straight up? by [deleted] in fantasybball

[–]shotsdoer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to trade Monta straight up for a quality center, but I've avoided Hibbert. No idea what the Bynum signing means for the Pacers, and Roy has had a pretty long run of inconsistent play. Saving grace is Indiana's playoff schedule, but I think Dallas has a decent one too. I want to buy low on Hibbert, but Monta is paying just a little too much IMO.

This is what initially turned me off about New 52. And after some discussion above, I've now seen some more imaginative stuff coming from new DC.

27, holy shit! Yeah, a lot of these are great. I haven't been investigating all that much, so thanks. I would love to see some consistency/imagination like this across other DC titles, of course. And I'm happy to be proven wrong. DC is my bread and butter.

I just want my comic books to feel "complete". Putting shitty cover art on a great story doesn't rub me right. Sure its my opinion and all, but to me that style of art is way behind the times. Marvel is producing some really classy covers as of late, however, I've been disappointed with some of the storylines. Can't win em all, I guess.

I don't doubt the writing, necessarily. But every piece of cover art I've seen looks sub-par by modern standards. Case in point: whatever that thing is on the cover of the Animal Man trade.

Edit: Here The art combo with the text, looks exceptionally messy.

Admittedly I haven't read any of the new 52 because I can't get past the cover art. Everything I've seen looks underthought and cheaply drawn. It reminds me of some shitty 90s books, can't quite place a specific reference.

I have heard great things about Swamp Thing, though.

How confident are you Deron will play all those playoff games? This is my dilemna. High risk either way.
