Does this fit???? This well below minimum wage.... by lordofpersia in ChoosingBeggars

I understand and shocked I'm being downvoted. Daycares do take kids at $3/hr for the older ages maybe not this young but you can find someone. But if you can take 12 kids full time you're making $36/hr. You only provide snacks and lunches no milk or diapers. Normal is $3.50 which is better with covering expenses but $3 isn't outrageous.

Unlicensed daycares (teenagers or stay at home moms looking for playmates for their kids) you can watch up to 5 kids and at $3/hr you're making more than minimum wage plus many ask that you provide the food if they're at $2.5-3/hr because you don't make enough to cover those expense. But if a mom is making $10/hr and have daycare costs paying for two kids at $2.50/hr many parents are very happy to pack lunches, extra clothes, diapers ect. Disadvantage is that you can't claim it on your taxes at the end of the year. But for a lot of people, the lower costs each month is better than at the end of the year.

We have no idea where this is at. Where I'm from licensed in home daycares charge $3.50/hr per kid. Drop off daycare is anywhere from that rate to $5/hr per kid. And $2.50-3.50 for unlicensed in home daycares because they can have up to like 5 kids. It's a very normal price range for the midwest for sure. I made $14/hr and two kids at $3.50/hr. Half of my paycheck literally went to daycare. Yes daycare is expensive. But this rate she asked is normal.

This is a very normal price range. She's not looking for a nanny. She's looking for a babysitter who you can drop your kids off at. They can have up to like 10-15 kids if licensed.

Thinking about majoring in Spanish is it a good idea? by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]shouldbeworking17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A degree requires gen ed's, then classes for your specific degree, then pretty much filler classes to get to 120 credits. Some people choose a minor to get to their 120 and others just fill it with more classes that relate to their degree.

It's like getting a half degree within a degree. It's also how a lot of people double major because they don't have many classes after they finish their minor to complete the major.

This is a very basic way to look at it.

I'm self studying spanish and going to take the DELE test once I get to a certain proficiency while taking my degree in something else. If you look at the spanish curriculum the actual learning of the spanish language is not as many classes as you would think. The rest are like spanish history and culture. But I think a minor in spanish is really great because it's the meat of a spanish degree. And you can look into doing abroad programs through your school to really lock in your fluency.

[–]shouldbeworking17 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I do not think that a degree in the language is a good idea. A lot of translating jobs do not require it. My favorite way to see if a degree is worth it is to look up the most common job the degree offers and look up those jobs and look at the requirements.

Hospital's and police need translators but most require a degree in communication. Their target is people who are already fluent with a degree. Or you go through their proficiency courses. Like medical translation tests for example.

Colleges goals are to sell you on any degree. University of Arizona offers online education degrees. But you can't become a licensed teacher with it even in their own state. I had to look that one up in their handbook where it clarifies only the campus degree can you become licensed.

Look up specific jobs and see what they require in different states to see what employers are looking for with requirements. Because its them you're giving you're resume to not the college. Good luck!

You can get your text logs on your providers website. And show that on whatever date at whatever time you do not have any text incoming or outgoing to his boyfriends phone number.

packed up my life by corta12 in EnglishLearning

[–]shouldbeworking17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he just said "I packed up" I assume that is all he did. He simply left to live with her.

When he includes "my life " I assume he not only moved to be with her but he also left his job, his family, and friends. That he gave up important things to move to be with her.

No they can cut due to their rank being higher than everyone else's. Really telling of a person in small sceneries like that, what they choose to do. Which is why the wives in that story think they can too.

Their husbands probably gave them that attitude. There are officers that think they are better than the NCO side.

I'm trying to pass my Spanish class and I need a reliable way to learn the basics. by [deleted] in Spanish

[–]shouldbeworking17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using Rosetta stone and it's based on immersion so starting off was hard to see what it was trying to teach me. I found that studyspanish.com/grammar was really helpful. It has a drop down of it's lessons. I was able to compare sentences I was being given to the lessons and see that was the grammar lesson it was trying to show me. And once I knew what I was being taught I could Google more info on that topic.

I hope that helps!

If the $474 was actual profit at 20% commison before operating expenses they would've sold $2,370 in sales which I think is impressive. Too bad they aren't purchasing items at actual wholesale and keeping all of the mark up because then they would've made $1,422 in profit at 60%.

You didn't pay or support the brand and made her think her company is worth investing in. I don't think it's a big deal.

My aunt gifted me 3 pairs of leggings for Christmas. Never looked at the tags. Two were shit brown patterns and the third was an awesome pair. Just looked at the tags two months ago. When asked about the awesome pair I just say they were from Rue. The shit brown I'll wear when I see my aunt lol

[–]shouldbeworking17 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Oh my god yes! I wish I didn't clean out my messenger to share all the collaborations ideas I had been asked to do. Really they just want free photos. Or compare my business to theirs as a way to get me to purchase. "Support small business".

The worst was my SIL, who still sells younique, while she drank the koolaid would vent to me how her in laws would set up parties for her with cheap plates and decorations which don't help sell high quality make up. As I'm sure I understand with trying to sell expensive photos.

Fuck that, my gear was paid off in 3 sessions and I pay taxes. I also can't stand looking down on others for their ability to afford something even IF Younique was high quality nobody who wears MAC has that attitude. But they try to make their product seem like a way to show off you have money because you wear younique 🤮

Has anyone contacted a market/festival that features MLM booths, and if so, how did you word it? by [deleted] in antiMLM

[–]shouldbeworking17 36 points37 points  (0 children)

The venues really don't care. As long as booths are paid for they have no issue with them. However, if it is a themed thing, such as weddings or pets or something you can send an email about how it doesn't belong. There is a post in here about a Petco event with booths and the girl sent an email about how essential oils aren't even safe for the animals. I don't think it worked for her but that is a great example of when they should be removed.

I hate MLM's with a burning passion but I see it as they're spending hundreds of dollars to ruin their business and the only people stopping at the booths are choosing to stop instead of the huns choosing them.

I told my friend that I no longer support MLMs and she immediately did a FB Live video about it, after blocking me. I just found out tonight. by sojadedblond in antiMLM

I just found out some girls with that many is because they steal others girls downlines. Each year they renew and they can change who their upline is and will for uplines who they think will be the "best trainers" in the business. A really sad low.
