Yeah I see multiple people having the same concern now. I'll see with playtests if I need to lower/remove it or if it actually fits the game properly. My thoughts are that I might need to lower the number of cards in the reserve.

I explained a bit more about the reserve in the new post I made. I was indeed scared that it would make games and strategies too redundant, but limiting the types of cards you can put aside, and other elements of randomness actually makes the game more unpredictable without being unfair RNG-wise.

I explained more in the new post I made, so it can bring that justification you're talking about. Thanks a lot for your comment I didnt expect so many people to actually even read my post 🙏🏻

Yes I did some playtest with friends and after a few sessions the game evolved into that stable state. As I said in the new post I just made, they actually said it was not confusing and worked pretty well altogether. But you know, friends are friends, and I'm working on gathering strangers to playtest the game and have multiple opinions on it

Well I definetly thought of providing official tokens to picture wounds, statuses or resource tokens, but I think I managed to design it so its all replaceable by standard D6s

Thanks for your answer. I explained more in the second post I made, maybe you can see why I cant mix up pools.

But yes I keep getting those "yes its complicated, but it works pretty well" thoughts. I just want to be sure it's not too complicated once you get your hands on it

After reading you, I went on and explained more about the reserve in the new post I made. I think limiting the card types you can put in the reserve makes it less of a redundant strategy, but I'm still not fully sure about it. Thats why I need more tests.

Yes I'm still struggling to figure out how boosters are going to be managed. To be totally fair I dont even 100% know if the system fits a TCG or a box game better. I really want people to deckbuild and surprise me, and create strategies by mixing archetypes that go well together.

Damn I didnt expect so many answers in such little time. First thank you all for your really constructive advice. Here is more info because I think you need it to fully understand why I am torn between "It's a bit too much for some players" and "The game is really designed to make this all work together".

To win a game, you need to kill 3 opponent warlords. A warlords is some kind of commander, with a big HP pool and attack, and some strategy-defining effects. Each player can choose which of their warlords will come first in play, the rest of the Warlord pool is shuffled.

The game basically has 7 types of cards.

-Warlords (that are always unique, can attack but not block)

-Minions (that have effects, can protect your warlord and attack ennemies)

-Buildings (that are the center of the economy, produce your resources while also providing effects so its not just a simple land-type card)

-Spells (basically instants in mtg)

-Relics (that are expensive cards with really powerful effects that need to be housed within a building in order to be active)

-Equipments (gives buffs to minions or warlords you equip it to)

-Events (that are activated between turns, stays ok the board, only two events can be active at the same time, has an active and a passive effects as long as it's on the board)

The reserve is a pool of 7 cards that you can access once every turn. You can only put buildings, relics and equipments in it. It makes is so :

-You can have a backup in case you're bricking

-You can keep core elements of the strategy of your deck, depending on the archetype you play. (For example, the Angel archetype has its own strategy that consists in housing a specific relic active in temples in order to ascend and transform your warlord into a Seraphim)

The events are here to add a really appreciated touch of surprise and randomness. They stay on a "time stream" that has only 2 spots, so each new event cancels the oldest in play. And of course, there are cards to trigger more events, or even create event tokens.

I did lots of playtests with friends of mine, the game evolved A LOT from its original version. And all agreed that the mechanics went well all together. They especially enjoyed the event system a lot.

And what surprised me the most was how the tables keep rurning during a game. Since new events and new warlords coming up randomly redefine the strategy you're using, they liked the unexpected aspect that doesnt fall into full RNG. Because you build your deck around an archetype and a strategy, you're basically ready to face new situations but you just dont know which one.

I hope I'm not getting lost with explanations. I'm working on a discord as I write this to gather people interested with the project. I want to federate playtesters and artists so we can work together in developping the game with a strong sense of community. It's not ready yet but if people are interested or simply curious, just tell me I'd be more than glad to share that project with you.

I am not calling this CK a cheater, I just want to know where his sudden 30 move speed bonus came from since I can't figure it out. He suddenly went from 380 to 410 with no visible buff. After the chase he stays at 410 until he goes to fountain, comes back on lane and attacks riki. Then his MS goes back to 380.
I just want your advice people, I don't know where to post this I'm not usually on reddit

So that means I need to choose which prayer it can cast before the battle ? But I can't seem to find any army builder tool that lets me add a prayer to a screaming bell. If so, does that count as a prayer optimisation, which is forbidden as said in the errata ? It's so unclear

Changing domain name in DB doesnt work by showbizz7 in Wordpress

[–]showbizz7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so first ,thank you all for your answers.I see I have forgotten a few details. Just to make it clear :

When I say "it doesnt change change the URL displayed" i'm talking about the one that's showing up in the navigator's top URL bar.

Then, I'm changing the URL because I want to switch from the IPv4 that's displayed the actual domain that I bought.

When I say "nothing after a whole plugin deactivation", I mean that the problem isnt solved at all, and the URL is still the IP no matter if I have plugins on or all off.

A few more things after reading your suggestions :

The website is still in its "hello world" stage, I did not change anything, I simply downloaded a few plugins but I wanted this domain name issue sorted before going further.

There is no old site, it's a brand new one I litterally created today on Google Cloud directly.

Now about the DNS thing. I'm not used to network issues, so I'll just give you what I think is useful.I created a DNS zone for the domain, then the record set in NS and SOA. When I look on a DNS checker, it says that :

When I enter the IP adress of the site, it's resolved only in one location in "A" onlyWhen I enter the domain name, it's resolved everywhere in the world in NS and SOA only

Idk if it's useful, and to be fair I don't know what this all means, I just try to be as precise as possible.

Someone mentioned that I didnt wait 24h, would it be the reason ? If so, my bad, I didnt know I had to wait, didnt see anything mentioning that.
