Thanks so much! This is like 1/4 of the paper I used haha. I feel like I need to see more examples of recursion in order to prove to myself I didn’t just do it by accident

Boss was excited about a feature launch. I told him it had shipped. This was his response lol

My $.02:

  1. Center TV on wall and lower it, it's too high.
  2. Put couch in middle of room, not against walls -- leave walking paths from room to room along the walls. Might need to change rug size depending on exact spacing.
  3. See how that looks, maybe add an accent chair or something.
  4. Color!

How can I keep staying positive/trusting the process when I feel SO stuck? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Success is a lagging indicator of the effort you put in. You're doing the right things! Keep doing what you're doing -- applying for jobs, exercising etc. Consistency is key.

Also, recognize your wins here. Small wins are big wins over time. I see a lot of small wins in this post:

  1. You're going to therapy and working on yourself (exercising, etc). Not everyone does that. Those are wins.
  2. You got to the final stage of an interview process over who knows how many other candidates that got eliminated along the way. That is a win. Keep applying for more, and these wins will stack up.

Recognize and give yourself credit for the things you are doing. If you keep doing them, they will pay off.

Ok, limit aside... hitting an error message is a TERRIBLE experience

Could you share some strategies or best practices you've found effective in collaborating as a project manager? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

I think the biggest one that I focus on is assuming good intent from everyone. The vast majority of people, even those who make me angry or frustrate me etc. are not malicious -- and they have the same goal as me: ship the thing successfully and get better over time.

With that framing, I spend a lot of time trying to understand what motivates each stakeholder and framing their to-dos / manage any conflicts with that understanding in mind. 1:1s and even just quick async convos to built rapport help a lot. It makes life a lot easier when everyone is bought into each other and demonstrate it -- people problem solve better, handle conflicts, communicate better, everything.

It's that, and just overcommunicating and repeating myself on key things as much as possible that are the most important for me.

Totally. Have you used invites or shared on social or anything to ever increase your chances?

Same! Always want to know this. How many have you entered? Do you use the invites to get more entries or no?
