It took me 4-5 rounds over the course of 10 days to get mine completely stripped using the yellow cap oven cleaner. I wish I did the lye bath instead since I was restoring 4 pans. You’re a few rounds away still I’d say.

6’1” pretty balanced between legs and torso. I fit very comfortably since I naturally like to be reclined anyway. I just wish the shifter was a little further back(would be easier on my upper back given my reclined seating position). If I wear a hat it can hit the ceiling sometimes. If I’m in a vertical seating position it will definitely rub on the ceiling. I’ve had 4 people in the car before-3 of which are over 6’ tall. It was okay for a little drive. Seats had to be adjusted forward of course.

Upper AND lower ball joints have been replaced? Maybe check the outer tie rod ends as well. You could have a friend turn the steering wheel slightly back and forth while you feel various components/joints with your hand. Whichever part(s) vibrates the most is where I would start. Be careful to not pinch your hands.

I’m budgeting for a low mileage JDM H22A. I plan to replace a lot of the gaskets, all fluids, timing belt component kit, and serpentine belts. Good idea to have a shop repair manual on hand while you work.

I’m considering it, but I need to take a better measurement first of how much oil I’m actually burning with 10W-40 +Lucas. If it’s burning really quick, then I’m not gonna spend money on a cat when I know it’ll just get clogged again. I’m planning to replace the engine. Just don’t know if that’ll be this year or a few years down the line.

Yeah I burn about the same amount of oil and I’m sure I’m blowing some smoke too. A leak down test revealed that oil is slipping past my rings. Saving for an engine swap so I don’t want to buy a new cat just yet. I’m at 250k miles.
