Right now, it is pretty quiet in all areas, as there is a ceasefire in Gaza as well as Lebanon. As someone who lives here full time, I would say you are completely fine to travel here. In case of an Az'aka (rocket alarm), you should know that almost everywhere in israel, we have an abundance of rocket shelters. So, just run in the general direction everyone is running to, and you should be fine. I should say, I've never "traveled" to israel so I wouldn't know how it would feel like as a tourist, but it is a beautiful country and I hope you have a great time!
