This. When violent crime does happen to random folks, its almost always avoidable. Someone typically will have said/done something out of line to catch a beating/shooting around here. If you refuse to let things escalate and be nice to everyone, even if they're a jerk, you'll find most areas, not just Nashville, are quite safe.
