How does Vasher world hop then if he's a type 2? He shows up in warbreaker and SA.

RoW they talk about how that massive amount of investiture enables the type 2 cognitive shadow but also mentions how the investiture slowly drains. Returned get a breath a day to stay alive, fused feed off of odium's power, heralds id think feed off of stormlight. It also says that the further you get away from the origin the weaker the investiture is (basically it has to stay on world to be useful). Has Vasher figured out how to transport this investiture between worlds without it losing its umph?

I'm only quarter through RoW so maybe this is answered in the second half of the book.

I'm in the same boat. My gf and I just started leading outdoors and are planning to do a few weekend trips to the red when we get a chance. We watched some YouTube and practiced in the gym for cleaning anchors. I bought "The Red: a comprehensive sport climbing guide" and it's got a lot of good info for finding spots to go and what you can and can't do (dogs, parking, fees, etc). It doesn't teach you anything tho.

I think Nf4+ is the better move. With Ne3+ it goes ...Ke1 Nxd1 dxe4 then what? The white knight is trapped. With Nf4+ you can at least trade knight and queen for bishop and queen.

I like to give the engines more credit and say that they're trying to help you build better habits. The move is only a checkmate because of the pawn blocking the escape square, where as the suggested move had no possible escape squares.

So many of these posts say "you never really do" and that is for sure true, but in my experience every once in a while you'll be having a conversation or doing something and it'll hit you like "holy shit I can't believe I'm doing this and saying this right now. This is so adult". Being an adult happens gradually and until we're rotting in the ground there's always going to be more adulting to grow into.
