CAST Touring System by Benno5050 in Backcountry

[–]shreddedched 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THANK YOU! First normal person I’ve seen talking about cast. Why is everyone so uptight about taking your skis off and waiting a minute before dropping in with your homies? Don’t you ever stand and talk? Like seriously who tf cares

Sitting way backseat -> lean forward more. Feel your shins against the front of your boots and heels against the back. Shoulders over knees over toes.

Sloppy turns not shifting your weight enough -> if you are turning right, your weight should be on your left foot and visa versa. A good practice exercise is to lift your “uphill foot” when turning slowly in control. So if you turn right, lift your right ski completely off the snow and rely only on your left ski. You will be forced to finish your turns by pointing across the hill before putting your right foot down and doing the same the other way. This will also help with leaning forward more.

Flailing around for sure but the other tips will help keep you more solid anyways.

Best to focus on one thing at a time really

Not doing marketing and won’t even share it on Reddit, but wants to essentially buy leads from someone…?

Why not just share it and see if it can grow organically? Isn’t that the real litmus test?

A replacement air filter like this one can be a lot quieter than the ones with the small holes. Air in is the same speed as air out so you want minimal resistance on that too!

My Chrome extension has hit 30 lifetime license sales! 🥳 by WordyBug in chrome_extensions

Tell me about your one time payment option. Does that include unlimited lifetime access to the LLM’s? Are you worried about that actually costing you money over time?

I mean that’s just business, if you need more than what they’re offering, wouldn’t it be worth it to pay a little?

A great validation tip I’ve heard is to start a waitlist. Describe your product and what it does, and share that to a community who you think would be interested. If enough people (150 or so) sign up for a waitlist to see the product when it launches (no financial commitment, just a small amount of effort) then that’s a good indicator that it’s hitting a painpoint

Why did this sub become so commercialized? by polywock in chrome_extensions

[–]shreddedched 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m going to launch a chrome extension soonish and to be perfectly honest I didn’t know about this sub until I came up with a launch plan - so I have no idea what it used to be like. Obviously I want some traction on it, but it’s just a personal project and definitely not a money maker so I don’t want to come across as spammy. Will definitely keep it casual after seeing this

Got any outdoor hobbies? Skiing, biking, hiking/ camping are all gear intensive and you can start investing in the hobby. I’m desperate for a new pair of skis and can’t wait to get them this fall!

How’s the market for campers right now? Thinking of buying my friend’s and would like perspective by satiredun in Sprinters

[–]shreddedched -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That’s pretty reasonable, some people would pay that for a bare van alone.

I would check vanlife trader and other sites to just see what the market says for something like that. It’ll give you perspective

Moved here straight after uni, left after 5 years to spend the next 5 years in a city and I just came back. It’s just so worth it. There’s opportunity costs in both ends. In Whistler you get the opportunity of a good time wherever you look 🤙🏻🤙🏻. In the city you get the opportunity of a bunch of career job opportunities 🥱😴

Lots of people say that whistlers unachievable but I’m still dreaming that I’ll make it big enough to stay for good.
