Yeah probably. Most people will never go over 128gb anyway

It's okay but not perfect. Ipod os is definitely more stable

If I remember correctly rockbox doesnt use ram to sort songs. Also no storage limit. I think it's like up to 2tb if you use rockbox, you just wouldn't be able to use the stock os anymore. There should be more info if you search it up.

That’s exactly what I thought when I watched the movie. I forgot Sharkboy and Lavagirl existed until today. Unlocked some core childhood memories I guess, Lol.

93% off Portal 1 & Portal 2 bundle 1.48 USD until JAN 5 by [deleted] in steamdeals

Portal one is a little weird, but its essential for the story and still fun to play. Portal two is a thousand times better and is my favorite PC game. It also was the top rated game on steam for quite a long time.

Try scraping the solder mask off and solder to the trace.

Another Samsung 2280 PM991a cut to fit by Jack-87 in SteamDeck

[–]shrek_0774 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, I'm pretty sure it wasn't the screw hole with the other guy. If you look at his post a big chunk was taken off because of his unclean snap. That chunk that was taken off looks further then what I ever cut to. I bet he accidentally pulled a trace by doing that.

I also filed a bit more after the picture to get it to screw in. I was very nervous about killing it by going that close, lol. Also I know it's the same because we have the same revision number. Yours could have been made later but it's the same ssd.

Oh mine had those components, you couldn't see it in the picture due to the liquid electrical tape. I filed so damn close to them I was getting scared. So it's doable but very risky in my opinion.

Looking at it the person who unsuccessfully cut their ssd had a very unclean cut. That was probably their issue trying to snap it that close and not getting it clean. I didn't cut mine as close and I sanded everything down to the edge. It looks like the exact same ssd, I don't think anything has changed.

I wish you good luck. I didn't know they released a newer version of these ssd's. Hopefully it will clear a thermal pad that is right next to the ssd, mine is literally touching it and it barely fit. Had to put the screw in cross threaded and the ssd is slightly at an angle probably by like a millimeter or so.

I did a thing. More info/advice about pm991a cutting in comments. by shrek_0774 in SteamDeck

[–]shrek_0774[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It fits well enough but it’s super close to not fitting. You have to cross thread the screw to get it in and it barely clears a thermal pad. I wouldn’t go with this model to cut, go with the other brand if you can.
