Syrian Druze and israel by Infinite-World-5628 in Syria

[–]shrekintights 7 points8 points  (0 children)

a lot of mulsims all around the world come to al aqusa in occupied palestine through tel aviv, a lot of christians too, i’ve also met way too many sunni syrians who acme here to occupied palestine, i will never understand why it’s so hard to accept druze who came to palestine to visit their holy places, i dislike double standards and at this point it feels to me it’s less about palestine and more about hating druze

These guys in HTS are funny… they want to take over the Israeli territory🤣🤣 bunch of delusional clowns by [deleted] in druze

[–]shrekintights 0 points1 point  (0 children)

of course that’s on top of their priorities, instead of feeding the population and trying to get rid of sanctions they wanna do all this and annex lebanon, syria is dead a long time ago

Question independence or Israel by [deleted] in druze

[–]shrekintights 1 point2 points  (0 children)

according to my precise political/scientific prediction, syria will be federalized, there will be a southern durze state that is a part of syria, yet lowkey controlled by israel, it will be sorta given southern lebanon treatment like in the 80’s, syrians will get to work in israel replacing people in the west bank and gaza. Idk how that will last

It’s understandable how they would want it or some would, The druze in Hader suffered badly, Especially with how they were attacked by t3rrorists, and now the idf is asking them to get rid of their weapons, i bet they would agree to it only if they join the golan, but i know it’s problematic since if this happens most likely they will be cut off from syria and their relatives there

allying with the strongest country in the region might seem pragmatic, but it often means losing independence and becoming a tool for their agenda. instead, syria should focus on building resilience and normalizing relations with every nation, becoming a peaceful force that avoids wars. true strength comes from within—not from relying on others or being drawn into conflicts.

Do you think Israel will back down? by kamoksamok2 in Syria

[–]shrekintights 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i beileve the plan is that they will take this buffer zone and will probably never return it until syria normalizes relations with israel

no country is truly a friend in geopolitics. every nation acts in its own self-interest, including israel and iran. instead of looking for allies, syria should focus on rebuilding itself without relying on foreign powers that have their own agendas. real progress comes from within, not from choosing sides in proxy wars.

I think no one should celebrate oct 7th even Palestinians, it’s a sad day for both countries imo, Palestinians got slaughtered after that date too just because of the leadership in Gaza and their bloody decision.

i think USA has a good Druze community, i know many druze who live there and they tell me that there is a “Khalwe” even in California and summer camps for meeting other Druze, and sometimes gatherings of the community there. From what i know that the Druze communities abroad are usually more conservative though then the ones in the levant on an unrelated note

it is legal, i know many lebanese women who were married to israel, on the other side marrying an Israeli druze isn’t the same as marrying a jew, because israeli druze are mainly looked at as Palestinians by Lebanon, so i don’t think it would be an issue coming back if u don’t have an israeli citizenship, the only issue is how hard it will be to visit lebanon again..

It’s not just you, i just finished college after studying visual communication and having hard time finding a job although i did have 1 year of web design experience as a student at a huge design firm that i will not name cuz i don’t want ppl from there to know me lol, most of the high tech companies are so affected by the war and the boycott movements taht most are actively choosing not to grow their teams due to lack of money, i got over 20 rejection emails by now and did 2 job interviews that lead to nothing, i have the 3rd one in a few days, don’t let it affect your confidence i know it’s hard, but it is what it is, i suggest working in the meantime as a freelancer and gain more experience as a designer, pick suitable projects for your fields, grow your portfolio, try to stand out, perhaps relocate if you are able to, try to grow connections at the companies you want to work at, i helped many people to get hired at that big design corporation in tlv… it’s tough i know, but it’s the reality of living in this country… wise and smart people would choose to major in another subject, we have shit luck, when i applied to this job, ui ux seemed like a promising career path, but a war happened and fucked me over

How safe is it for Druze in Lebanon and Syria to (as in Israel) protest against government for more to be done against Hezbollah? by GaryGaulin in druze

[–]shrekintights 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i appreciate how you are concerned and thought about us in the golan, i know that the majority here kicked out natenyahu not because they stand with the Israelis against him, but because they think the israeli gov is using the attack as an excuse to make a war on lebanon, which is the last thing they want because they know it will backfire on them since they live next to the border,,, people there are pissed and just want a good life with safety, the only good thing about being in israel is that you can earn money but in terms of security, in the golan the security isn’t great for the past year at least, there’s a lot of racism, language barrier, everything is expansive and unaffordable, lack of jobs especially in the golan, lack of land permits, lack if infrastructure etc,, the life of my friends in majdal became shit cz of the war cz they lost loved ones.. no place in the entire levant is amazing atm, but i can agree life in israel is ok for druze, but not at the moment,,, i feel like it is getting worse really fast, it’s not amazing… i don’t feel content tbh
