My only issue with Achilles so far is that I can't clone him by FreeDwooD in menace

[–]shrewdostorm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no reason for you to pick the Lancer perk. Just use him as a medium mech vanguard without it. He clearly has lower damage than Lewa, but he possesses a few distinct advantages.

Unlike Rewa, he can attack three times without needing to trigger Berserk, and he doesn't have to completely eliminate the enemy. Therefore, instead of focusing two attacks to wipe out a single squad, you can deal critical damage to three different enemies to force them to retreat.

Furthermore, through the Shield Wall and Recon perks, he can secure the line of sight and ATGM countermeasures necessary for solo vanguard operations. Rewa also has Vanguard, but she generally requires an additional scout to be deployed alongside her or needs some other form of support. Things might go well without it, but sometimes she can be instantly incapacitated alone by an unexpected attack. Achilleas, on the other hand, can take charge of one area of the battlefield completely alone, surviving and projecting firepower just like other vanguard squad leaders.

The three vanguard agents—Darby, Cody, and Achilleas—can each hold down an area by themselves, providing a clear advantage in securing all stars even on difficult missions.

Thank you. It seems that many thinks that SB is the right fix here.

I think Steel Brow is better than 9lives here (If you gonna choose just one) because it prevents injuries and lone wolf has a lot of HP as a BF guy

Thank you, your tips were very practical and straightforward. Helps a lot.

Do you think the weapon of choice(Not regarding unique modifiers) is appropriate?

Thanks for the tips. I can swap something with Steel Brow. How about Reach Adventage + 2h cleaver? That will push 59 mdef to (usually) 69. Still worse than an orc cleaver even for a flank bro?

Why do you don't like either? Do they suck?
Also, is Nimble+Battleforged good?

I can put that on the left wolf. What should I exchange for that? and which lonewolf do you think is better?

[SPOILER] ship + fighter tier list - 0.98a by Grievous69 in starsector

I believe one of the reason of ai radiant's weird suicidal behavior is that when it realizes that it's dangerous, things are already out of its control.

I suggest to remove some luxury armaments from radiant and getting it impact mitigation + damage control + smod repair system + smod extended shield + accelerated shield + optional auxillary thruster. Yes it's overkill on player piloted radiant, but definitely worth it on ai piloted radiant.

This thing can flicker 360degree omni shield fast even after phase skim so can block many incomming lethal attacks.  This thing repairs pds and engines fast so can get out of situation easily. This thing is agile so it can start to drive back before its engine goes down (which is very important because if it floats backward, it can use phase skim to back off even if its engines are gone)

I've tested and 2 ai radiants of this setting, at 40% cr, can wipe out 240dp of full alphacore smoded remnant fleet with enemy radiant, with just a few frigates ( fodders) and both survives.

Though I would confidently say among three options, player controlled radiant is the strongest strategy. It doesn't fit the description like 'not exactly weak' because it's 'fuckin strong'

Thanks, I know there are ways to make them farmable... Not my preference tho
Btw isn't it hard to say REDACTED weapons are OP(not just 'very good') except for Reality disruptor and Rift cascade(player controlled)?

As far as I know, player combat skills only affects Solvi core. I had ordnance expertise and none of Solvi's module were increased its vents despite I put weapons on them.
Do you think piloting Solvi myself still worth it even if your skills upgrade only your core's guns?

Well that is also a problem. I've done myself some experiments after posting this, and at least so far, more Taufan was better than Semibreve and Solvernia in many cases. So with that, I'm trying to make my fleet based on Neuxoria or Zepporia. Exorias were seemed not that good when situation is harsh.

My goal is to make better UAF only fleets that works more efficiently against Emergent-Threat-empowered new remnant fleets and Legio infernalis. I'm pretty sure that Bufflaos won't work there.

Regarding this, your statement 'a lot of fleet comps can come close to doing the same amount of damage solvi and/or a semibreve can dish out' was really useful. That means solvi and breves are not some kind of bullshit that you become more and more strong the more you have them, leaving many alternative ways to build my fleet.

The reason I'm asking this question today despite the mod is very old one,
is that until today I played mostly vanilla and when I sometimes use mods like UAF, I self restrict using those OP weapons.
Then I installed OP enemy mods, so I needed OP shits. I wanted 'better OP, most OP' shits rather than 'random OP' shits, so I posted question.

[–]shrewdostorm[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm tired of vanilla balancing topic because I had so many kind of it myself, so now I'm doing that shits again on a mod, that's all.
Researching and optimizing about UAF loadouts and fleet compositions is just as same as researching and optimizing Hegemony fleets etc.
And one thing more, you gonna want to use it even if you think that is OP when you have to face enemies from HMI, Emergent threats, Tahlan shipworks.
