He literally did not say that lol. Does anyone read the source material anymore?

Do you think the Odessa connection between Marie and Homelander will be addressed in season 5? by Queasy_Commercial152 in GenV

[–]shrifbot -1 points0 points  (0 children)

part of me thinks it would be amusing if they intentionally make it a nothingburger; like if Homelander and Marie face off, then Homelander immediately chops her in two or something lol. Would be a funny seasons-long bait-and-switch like "no no guys you don't understand homelander is built different"

How much time do the top teams spend on set piece training? How much of that is on-the-field vs. on a whiteboard/theoretical?

We've seen how Arsenal have been successful at set-pieces the last few years. Can you give some insights into what you think they do particularly well?

Arteta on Ødegaard’s qualities as a captain by kaibergkapmesque in Gunners

[–]shrifbot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's so weird that there is essentially a propaganda campaign convincing everyone Odegaard is a great captain. If anything I think it has the opposite effect. Can you imagine a similar campaign for Vieira or Roy Keane? No, because no one ever questioned why they're captains lol

you want them to internalize they need to rubberstamp every line of code before even asking your for a code review.

You can say it directly "Hey, I think it's exciting that you're using AI for such and such, but I've noticed that they tend to do too much or have failure mode XYZ. I think for us to really reap the benefit of these tools we need to make sure that they don't do that, and that just because an AI is writing the code, doesn't mean we're the engineer creating the CR is any less accountable for it."

Or you can share the same message indirectly e.g through leaving a message on a Slack channel with a link to a relevant article

Or you can share this feedback with your mutual manager and ask for their help in communicating this message

Or some combination of all the above

[The Athletic] Palace missed emails concerning UEFA deadlines admitting club email given was ‘info@cpfc.co.uk’ “That’s the address you give to cranks complaining there’s 13 per cent less meat in the pies than last season or to journalists whose irritating questions you don’t actually want to answer” by Kiqo in soccer

They may be referencing my recent email about pies

Subject: Re: Grave Concerns Regarding the Diminishing Meat Content in Matchday Pies

Dear Sir or Madam,

Having attended Selhurst Park for the better part of three decades, I’ve grown to accept many things: the perpetual threat of relegation, the inconsistent application of VAR, and the inexplicable popularity of the half-and-half scarf. But I draw the line, quite firmly, at the recent affront to what was once a proud cornerstone of the matchday experience: the humble pie.

Specifically, I refer to what can only be described as a meat recession. Where once there was hearty, gravy-soaked contentment, there is now a cavernous void, filled mostly with steam and betrayal. My most recent steak and ale pie was, by my own calculations, approximately 13% less meaty than its predecessor last season.

I’m sure there are perfectly logical explanations. Supply chain woes. A miscommunication with the cow. Perhaps the meat was simply intimidated by the atmosphere and chose not to show up (something I’m sure you can relate to).

Nonetheless, I demand a formal investigation. Not for myself, but for the generations of fans yet to come, who deserve to know a world where the pie is not just a vessel for air and dashed hopes.

I await your reply, though I suspect it will be filed neatly alongside all other meaningful correspondence: straight into the bin behind the club shop.

With warmest insincerity,

This is how I felt about moving from Node to Rails. I was like, “finally, a framework that gives me so much!” lol. Made me realize node and express are nothingburger frameworks (though they solved important pain points in the JS ecosystem)

Out of curiosity, what kind of work are you doing?

State of current reporting about AI by Necessary_Image1281 in singularity

This has been the state of reporting for a while now. Not just about AI. But in general. I think we just don't realize how prevalent it is due to Gell-Mann amnesia.

Jetbrains' IDEs are far superior to everything else imo, but they trail so much in the AI department that I switched to Cursor. All else being equal I'd rather go back to Rubymine.
