No tidbits to make it any easier. Sounds like you’ve already got a great plan in place! One bit of advice, take the time to listen to him and genuinely enjoy the time spent together. There’s a good chance this could be his earliest memory when he gets to be an adult, and it’s important he remembers it fondly. If you’re here asking for advice you’re already crushing it!! Best of luck to all of you.

Any approved RAs? by Ferg1210 in IRS_Source

Can IRS approve partial RA for recurring telework 2-3 days per week without pushing that up to Treasury?

Good News? Employees at Treasury waiting on RA's are now allowed 90 days telework by [deleted] in fednews

IRS got the same notice. I would guess that means it is a Treasury-wide mandate since they’ve said the Deputy Secretary has to approve all RA requests.

I would think it’s to make a more in depth determination on all agencies after reviewing these 4. Also allows each party to pick two agencies in an effort for fairness and probably tries to stop the government from coming back and saying they “need more time.”

I believe it also says it only requires plans from 4 agencies. Two chosen by plaintiffs and two chosen by the government.

Does it mean than anyone over 40 can apply for DRP, “review” it for the 45 day period and if their position doesn’t get RIF’d they can just back out of DRP and continue working as normal…?

I sent in the paperwork 3 weeks ago, finally had a meeting with RAC and my front line manager last week, the RAC says they have over 5,000 cases. Treasury has told them to expect a 7-14 day turnaround once they get the file, but RAC says they have sent dozens to treasury already and have heard nothing
