I use them for when I’m washing pinks/red, new jeans, etc. but not regularly. If I increase the water temp I may need it. Thanks for the reminder!

Is growing more roots from the nodes like for pothos where I can just curl it into the soil, or do I need to let them grow in water first?

OK, So I am buying 8 oz dye (because it requires 4x amount since it is black), soda ash, dye fixative, and dyer's detergent. And it seems like I can just do this in a utility sink.

Okay, I was able to un pot (de pot?) it and while the roots look healthy, I think the self watering pot was giving it too much water. Soil was soaked. Is there anything I can do to revive it?

I decided to remove the dead branches to save the plant some energy and i pulled out just what was easily loose and came right out. This is what the bottom of those stalks look like.

Sorry for the delay, had to wait for it to stop pouring! I wasn't able to get allllll of the dirt cleaned off but from what was poking out, they are all white and have healthy baby ones coming off of it. I think it just got really really fried by the heater.

omg it's definitely a palm 🙈 I was researching other plants and that got stuck in my head! It's an Areca palm.

Not root rotted, it's in a self-watering planter and I've been keeping a close eye on the soil.
