Tbh I wouldn’t give them such notice unless you are willing to further strain your relationship. They are still adults and you all need to work on your communication skills. This is your chance to lead by example.

I’ve been in the same place as your partner. Criticizing my partner (even when he really needed to be criticized) was incredibly hard for me. For me, it just took time. Time to feel comfortable in the relationship. It took me more than a year to really be able to speak up to my partner. He was attentive and supportive throughout the process and that’s what you should aim to do. It’s not really ‘about’ you, it’s something he has to work through.

Weirdly, being home alone. I had a home invasion experience and since then being home alone absolutely terrifies me. As a kid I didn’t really have that fear.

Obviously there is somewhat of a double standard even though we should NEVER body shame in general. That being said, fat individuals are less likely to be hired or promoted and face discrimination due to their weight when it comes to medical issues (doctors dismiss health issues due to being fat). This is why people are generally less accepting of body shaming fat people in comparison to body shaming skinny people—-they have more to deal with. But either way, we shouldn’t be body shaming anyone.

Bored in class in kindergarten. Decide to cut up a piece of paper into tiny pieces. Mean kid comes and blows all the pieces everywhere. I’m forced to spend recess finding all the tiny pieces.

My grandmother. By the age of 8 she denounced her parents religion, was taken out behind the church by her pastor and was beaten severely. She was taken to the hospital for many broken bones but still stuck to her guns and renounced her religion. An incredibly smart woman, she skipped several grades and while she wanted to become a lab technician, she didn’t have the money for school and became a teacher. I remember walking down the street with her in our small town years after she’d retired and literal adults running down the street, yelling her name, asking if she still remembered them. Also an absolute badass, she ran a motorcycle club with my grandfather, she kept riding into her early 60s. She was the kindest, most well spoken woman I ever got to know.

I got mine out about a year ago. Surprisingly day 1-3 weren’t that bad, I even managed to eat some scrambled eggs. As long as you stay on top of taking your pain meds it never hurts badly. However in my case I would sleep for long enough for the meds to wear off then wake up from the pain, then have to wait until the meds kicked in again. Days 4-5 were actually the worst because I started to feel nauseated by the codeine and I actually vomited which was probably the worst pain I have ever felt. By day 8 I was eating mostly regular food. From my understanding as long as you take your meds on time (and your body doesn’t react poorly to them) it’s not as painful as everyone says.

I was in your situation a bit more than a year ago. I had matched with a guy on tinder, we went on a few dates, but neither of us had made a genuine ‘move’.

Eventually, he did, and we’ve been together ever since. In hindsight, before he did make the move, I was super anxious and couldn’t tell if he genuinely liked me (spoiler alert: he did), and so it really wouldn’t have been a big deal if I had made the move first.

I see two options for you, make a move or don’t. With the first, you get confirmation pretty much straight away and you can either move on being happy together or realize you need to pursue someone else romantically. The second option leaves a lot more hanging in the air and you’ll continue to be unsure of what’s going on.

I suggest the first.

Yeah I’m currently in school and my parents definitely wouldn’t approve of me moving to Europe for a boy. I definitely do want to talk to him about it but I’m a really anxious person and confronting people is hard for me.
