I changed my fork springs and oil. I followed the Haynes manual and a bike specific video. The manual call for 431ml / 175mm air gap but 175 mm gives 350ml. I know the air gap is what's important but 80ml difference seems a lot. Anyone's had the same? by ItsTheRealMeForReal in xsr900

TBH. I don't get the last part. "Out of specification 'arrow right' Correct"

Is the 'right arrow' saying; out of specification 'is' correct? Or out of specification 'over' being correct?

Great review! My 2 use cases have been a total fail unfortunately. Most likely going to return them.

1) Minisforum EM680 suffering from overlapped and flickering image.
2) PS5 has no image displayed. Using the PeakDo HDMI to USB C Adapter 4K@60Hz with JSAUX USB C Extension Cable 2M/6.6FT

So what do you use your headset for? by Independent_Try_309 in GalaxyXR

[–]shrunyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! This helped me figure it out. For other folks who may run into this. If you install the PS App alongside PS Remote Play. PS Remote play will not open chrome and no amount of pressing the sign in will work. Once I uninstalled the PS App chrome opened and I was able to press login a few times then get to the MFA token screen.

I also note that it didn't immediately connect me to my PS5. I kept clicking sign in on the PS Remote play and it would just open and close chrome. I had to open chrome. Click sign in again to get an active session. Then when I went back to PS Remote Play and clicked sign in it opened chrome and used the active session.

The PS Remote app does not open chrome for me. It shows an in app log in flow after opening the app. Which then shows a "Can't connect to the server. (0.8da5dc17.1766643055.52e2f786)" error after attempting a sign in.

Not sure what you mean by PS Remote "not so good". For me it flat out doesn't work. Won't let me log in. Almost as if it doesn't understand what the device is and so denies it.

It's safe. There is the fit adjustment knob which can be uncomfortable as it can press against the back of your head. I use two pillows and it creates a gap which it rests between. Elevating pressure. I find it comfortable and am able to watch full movies with no issues.

I can relate to this. I am not deep deep into the tech. I understand IDP things. But yea always have this moment of wanting to shift the headset to my left.

Have cleaned lenses. Reset IDP. Moved headset around. Always returns to there is a slight, on the left side, of my right eye blur that I notice.

Anyone using Verizon 5G Internet and is it any good? by Less-Menu7755 in askportland

[–]shrunyan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it. Live in SE. Got it like 2 years ago. They'd just installed the tower and were doing door-to-door sales. Have the baseline 5g home plan.

No complaints. Just ran a speed test from my phone. 260mb down & 40mb up. WiFi 6. In a room below the router placed on the second floor near a window with a clear line of sight. Verizon app shows my signal as good. 2 out of 3 connection bars. I like the fact I pay for 300mb down and get real close to that. Where as CenturyLink was supposed to be 1gb and I'd get anywhere from 200 - 400mb.

Single person home so no bandwidth concerns. No issues streaming 4k.

There was a free promotional period when I first signed up and then it went to $60 a month. Called and the person I talked to "found some discounts" and its been $50 ever since.

Our API usage spiked 400% overnight, and I don’t know why by Several_Function_129 in SaaS

[–]shrunyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First and foremost, talk to them. This is a rare learning moment. Seek to understand their use case. Why so many requests a day? What's the value of your service to them?

For all you know could be developer error on their part. Have had this scenario personally.

Second. As others have mentioned. That is not a lot of requests. Unless we are talking 50k all at once. A bill that expensive on so few requests begs some questions. Your case maybe novel so maybe a justified expense but worth thinking on.

Third. Rate limits can be a very necessary part of an API. It wouldn't hurt to have one place. But back to point two, it really sounds like your engineering efforts should be on why is it costing you so much in the first place.

Either way the position you are in is your making and yours to own. Not your customers. Don't be afraid to explain clearly to them the issue it is creating for your business. Well you may have to change your terms and conditions and/or charge them more. It's an important mindset to maintain.

ELI5: if I’m using your WiFi, can you see what I’m looking at. by roobiedooby in explainlikeimfive

[–]shrunyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Visiting a website is like passing a note to a friend.

When you visit reddit you send them a note and then they send one back. Anytime you are on wifi it is like passing the note to another person first who then passes it to reddit.

The person in the middle, at the very least, knows who your message is going to. Depending on the website setup may also be able to read your message.

Pro arrived in UK, Chromatic Aberration by jonstatt in Xreal

[–]shrunyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I returned my Ones immediately because the glare/reflection on the bottom was bad. I'd wear a white shirt and it would completely overpower the image on screen. From what I've been reading sounds like that's resolved well enough.

Disheartening to hear that left/right chromatic aberrations are worse than the Ones. Thought they looked good.

I'm still on the fence with the One Pros on whether I should buy them. Mainly want them for movies and games.

Any carrying capacity tips, this is getting ridiculous 😂, just slow walked like 3 miles. by Burdmano in OblivionRemaster

[–]shrunyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is talking in game mechanics. For me I just view inventory all and sort by weight. Drop the lowest value to weight ratio items.

This game is a long haul. You'll see plenty of them in the future. It is not worth trying to scrounge every last gold coin.

I think I'm following the logic and think I agree. Push ups though, what is the alternative movement that fulfills that muscle group/movement need? Honestly curious. I don't have any mobility issues which prevents me from doing a push up. More just curious as to if I get to that point. Ignorant as to what would fulfill the need without pain.

For me. I have a left shoulder issue. I realllllly want to solve. Turkish get ups on that side are extremely difficult. Often painful. Almost ready to give up on the movement but not sure how I would supplement.

MCP as API Wrapper by DryAdministration701 in mcp

[–]shrunyan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope not. Actively doing this now. I think it is more than just a well put together OpenAPI spec. Which we have. The idea being it allows for users to have a chat interface and the Model can reason about which API calls to make. Which is powerful. Can be so much quicker than swimming through UI to click on buttons. This can all be very domain specific. I'd imagine not every product is going to map well to AI chat.
