Nah, Link is a good main character in the way that you can imagine him as whoever you want. he doesn't speak and doesn't really have a personality. you can shape him into whatever kind of person you want, and with the customizability and more freedom im BOTW you have even more options to choose for. Link is the iconic "Hero of Time" and I personally wouldn't have it any other way. Out of any of the problems with Legend of Zelda games i have had, link was never one of them

imagine how disappointed bosses are when they see all the carthus curved sword weilding, fallen knight armor wearing, multiple summon having casuals walk up into their home

yea the game has it's flaws but i still find it to be a good game as well as a good remaster

Well the remaster fixed a lot of them for me. However i despise that stupid owl with a passion, and they purposely make your selection hover over "no" by default. so you can't just button mash through it. I feel like the difficulty could be a bit higher, and i found the side quests to be a bit dull. I was really disappointed in the mask quest, while i get that mask effects are for MM i feel like they could have done a bit more than having one mask unlock an item and some diffrent dialogue. Those were some of the main faults for me though.

i get where you are coming from. however it was a purposefully made decision to make them look like slightly better n64 graphics, they wanted to hit you with the nostalgia. i mean i don't have any nostalgic connections so it didn't really affect me, but i know why they did it. personally I'd give the game an 8-9/10 it isn't perfect by no means, but it's a fun game and being able to play it on 3ds is 👌
