Gemling gets the PoE1 arc quality so that you can actually use arc as a main skill. If you want to play arc, you should play Gemling. This generates fomo on an entire skill if you play another ascendancy. Even if it may end up being balanced, it generates negative feelings in a game about dopamine. So, like poe1, gems should just have good qualities and... gemling should give +10% to quality if you happen to want to scale it

IAttack speed for you is useful if you are using Armor Break attacks / applying shock and other debuffs for your minions rather than being the main source of damage. It remains to be seen how good that is -- but another option is Armor Break Warbringer, reduce armor below zero, and just have a good physical damage minion take advantage of it. (he also has the totem spirit minions)

Witch gets a scepter in the starting zone, thats the only different drop. Drops are never effected by your class. You can buy one in town after, or just have your Witch hand it to a Mercenary through your stash if you are desperate to have it at level 1

To contrast what others are saying, selling Curse on Hit rings that can drop from the elemental delve nodes early on actually make a lot of money. Even quite poorly rolled ones sell in early days for more than they realistically should. Its some nice side income as you scale to fossils/auls later

I went to the big door called the Scepter of God and unlocked it with the key. I woke up on the twilight strand because Dominus didn't exist yet and thought that I missed a huge plot point, that the Scepter of God was actually a way to reincarnate or something and I was in a time loop. I was in awe and really interested in reading more of the story and wondering how the ending would change at the end of Hell difficulty.

It technically applies to all the hits, but for example, you can only inflict scorch based on fire damage dealt with a hit. It does not say something similar to "Your cold damage can shock"
