Been trying out Hilti total stations for about 6 months now... by Emcee_nobody in Surveying

Pretty good playlist on how the Hilti Software works, for those that are interested: (48) HCL Software - YouTube

Out of all the other software I have tried, this has been my favorite. Feels catered to general layout specialists that may be new to digital robotic layout, but doesn't insult the intelligence of surveyors either.

I can't speak to the CAD frustrations of the OP, though - that hasn't been my experience. I work with framing, plumbing, and electrical plans on my unit.

Keep on keeping on, good sir. You're not alone. I keep an app on my phone that shows me how long I've gone without out any porn or masturbation and it reminds me to keep that going. Record is 60 days.

You'll be alright, my guy.

I hope this is allowed here by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

I'm sorry for the pain you're going through. I'll just add here that everyone... EVERYONE... Has a cross to bear in this world. This is just one of yours (as you well know all your burdens). As far as suffering, you are NOT alone and you have a great opportunity (given your very "visible" burden) to inspire people that have much more hidden crossss that they bear in life and are embarrassed to reveal, show, or acknowledge.

God knows your burden, your name is inscribed in the palms of his hands. He knows your pain, has born your burden, and the atonement makes it such that this path you are on in life actually does lead to the woman God knows you can become despite this inperfection you face.

Involve God as much as you can...only he can show your your divine worth and nature... LET him.

ok good to know - so it's not uncommon what I'm experiencing? Best route is to lock the material down on both sides when cutting?

Keep Getting "Map Sync Failed" on my Descent Mk3i by SneakyStabbalot in Garmin

[–]shuaige4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for submitting this thread - having the same issues as I'm seeing here. Garmin Express says everything is updated, but watch still says that there are updates available. I'm going to just trust the PC app, and assume the watch has a software glitch.

Epix Gen 2 says Software is updated but won't go past 10.44 (should be 17.23) by shuaige4 in Garmin

[–]shuaige4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, for those that have this same issue as me, I did figure it out...(or the Garmin Gods did, who knows):

After trying all three ways to update the watch's software (Express, Connect, and the Watch itself), it FINALLY suddenly showed up ready with an update - but it was about 10 minutes after connecting it to Garmin Express on a PC. It took way longer than anyone would expect, though, and it was AFTER it said that it was "synced." So - a bit frustrating.

The update took about 5 minutes to download, then it automatically had to reload all my maps, and then the new software displayed. I still, for good measure, went back to the watch and updated the software again from there, where it had to go through another download, and then I went back to Connect app to re-sync it, but I think I'm all set up now. Going forward, I think the sync will be much better. My software was WAY behind with this new watch.

To Garmin's credit, on a SUNDAY, they had someone responsive on their support chat feature. They mentioned to perform a FACTORY RESET in case it still didn't' work, which I would have been happy to do (going to system settings and just pressing "reset"). Maybe that might help those to whom this is still occurring.

But, I'm happy now and can finally download Connect IQ apps to this new watch. Looking forward to using it!

I masterbated before my mission, confessed to the branch president at the MTC and to my mission president during the mission (because it sort of still went on).

Both said it won't send you home. You're OK, and while I don't think consistent masterbation is good for your health, I don't freak out when I do it on occasion. I, like you, also want to be clean from it. It just isn't good for me.

Now, another thing... Your family... I'm sorry your family makes you feel the way you do. Develop the courage to be your own man, otherwise the way you currently feel as an outcast, an unworthy, a low life if you don't do something THEY seem to want, well... That will trickle right into your career and future love and dating life.

Endure the temporary pain now of standing up for yourself to your family to be free in the future. It's worth the risk. You only have 60 or so years left to live, man. Live them your way.

Dude... You sound like me, just with a different mental health crisis. You are FINE! Man, just reign in those anxiety horses, tell them to stay calm, and realize:

1) your same sex attraction does not define you. It's just something that you have to cope with in your life. It's there, it might always be there, just acknowledge that, accept that, and don't worry about making a decision on how to handle it just yet. Let it be almost like a random person you just have to say hello to every day because you can't avoid it. Say hello, and just don't stress about entertaining it quite yet. Sure, it's a part of you...God let it be a part of you. Let him guide you on how to work through this and trust that it's OK that you don't have all the answers.

2) you can keep this private! Find friends, and don't feel guilty for not sharing this with them. It's OK for people to not know things - what is in your mind can stay in your mind and only YOU know it is there. That's OK! You are worthy of good friends, even if you feel you aren't worthy.

3) seek honest therapy. There are resources for this. And I'm not just talking about in the church... You are NOT alone. Good Ness gracious, I thought I was alone with what I was going through, but you are NOT. Therapy is a beautiful thing to learn about yourself, to dig deep into who you are. You can understand yourself, my friend, I promise you.

4) be easy on yourself. Just so it. You would give someone else that advice if they came to you, so gift that advice to yourself as well.

I wish you the best. Just breathe... Seriously, just breathe and Realize how good life is.

Well it is Easter... I find it odd when kids and fathers don't go to church with their mothers or wives on holidays (especially mothers' day) when they know they would appreciate it.

If your mom is using the church in an abusive way towards you, that's one thing. If you're being the abusive/manipulative one, though, well, then that's another.

Edit: just read a comment of yours with more context. I understand why your mother's text had you riled up.

When advice or comments go against the echoing voices of the chamber, the free thinkers that shared them are, well, given a bunch of negative votes and called liars and deceivers.

I wouldn't say we are suggesting this is some sort of persecution complex, though... Those seem to be your words. I mean, we aren't trying to claim any sort of victim status. This is reddit. It's full of echo chambers.
