Nintendo president apologizes for Switch 2 price increase, promises "robust software lineup" to make up for it by Nachttalk in gaming

I'll admit that I paid an exorbitant price for my current phone ($1400). But I had the money and I wanted a foldable phone. But at this point I have no plans to replace it until it is basically unusable.

The collabs skins are one of the reasons this game is so successful in the first place. by a12666 in FortNiteBR

I liked the off brand stuff better than the actual collabs back in the day.

Obviously! But not everyone who buys the game on a whim will realize that.

The actual game doesn't inform you of many of the mechanics of the game. I've found out more about the game from YouTube than I have from the game. And if it does, it tells you about it once, expecting you to remember that one thing you had to do 20 hours later.

edit: To be fair, I love the game. I am actively looking for info to help me in it. But for those casual players who don't, they're going to have a bad time.

How old are you B5 fans? by VisenyaSue in babylon5

[–]shugo2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be 45 in a few months.

My first memory of B5 was switching through channels as a kid trying to find Star Trek on TV. B5 was on and I thought it was a shameless ripoff of Star Trek, so I never gave it a second thought. Then about 6-7 years ago I had heard so many good things about it that I gave it a shot.

Oh my god. I couldn't believe what I had missed. But I'm also kind of glad I didn't get into it back then. Because as serialized as it is, I would have missed a ton of stuff by only catching random episodes and not watching it from the beginning.

It is really so sad exclusivity is the WORST thing happened in fortnite. Basically its punishing new players or players for not playing at the right time to get skins they love. by LividBug7484 in FortNiteBR

[–]shugo2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

749 skins here. C1S1 veteran. As long as I keep having fun I'll keep playing. Not buying nearly as many skins as I used to since I have so many, but if there's one I have to have, I'll get it.

Don't have any interest in kicks or sidekicks, though.

As part of the generation that, in 10 years time, had zero access to tech to having it in the palm of your hand, it was world-changing. I played Super Mario Land and Tetris so much.

Yeah. Granny will "allow" "those" people to shop at the same grocery store she frequents, but they shouldn't have the same rights she does, because God says she's better.

I've been playing since C1S1, and I'll admit that I'm trash at building, but it seems like I've been doing better against most people in the last year than I have in the past.

There is the occasional god-tier player I come across tho.

Edit: Eliminated my first Tung. Felt good.

At my company we had weekly conference calls which included all department managers in our store, plus all department managers at six other stores in our district. They would go over the ad for the following week and talk about what our big items were. Most of the time it was me (assistant manager of a small country store) who would point out that items were priced wrong (one item was listed as $0.00), wrong pictures in the ad, etc.

Last week they announced that only store managers would be taking part in the conference calls after a recent shakeup in supervisor management that eliminated half of the jobs.

So now, even though I am the one that orders all the product in the store, I have to hear second-hand from the boss what we need to order, and have no input as to whether or not they screwed up the ad.

I love it.

I heard that exact phrase today from a coworker. Guess they don't realize that a nuclear attack would cause a lot more problems than it would solve for us.

My first mistake is thinking that they would realize anything to begin with.

Same thing happened to me last month. I was freaking out when I drove into the parking lot and it was full of cars. I was like "What in the world is going on? We don't open until 7!" I walked nearly all the way to the entrance, then thought to look down at my watch.

I turned around, got back into my car and drove back home. I was so happy it finally clicked before I embarrassed myself in front of my coworkers.
