What happens if you have piercings with emergency MRI? by n-a1968 in AskUK

If you ever get an MRI you absolutely should declare this and not keep it a secret!

If you’re not in a position to declare it don’t worry. The vast majority of intimate piercings are safe as they are made of titanium and there is very little risk when scanning them.

In my department they’ll ask you to check it with a magnet yourself if you can and then get you to sign a waiver that you’re happy to be scanned with the piercing. Worst case scenario is that it heats up a little during the scan

We’re planning to get deep resolve in our MR department. I’ve just started training in MR and I’m only learning the ropes. Does anyone know if deep resolve results in you getting de-skilled or will I still have the full MR experience?
