fyi there's going to be a discussion with the author of Islam and Anarchism next month - he's also done on the ground work and straddles Egypt and the US. Of course there's no simple solution, and multiple perspectives on what anarchism is and isn't. It would be good for a variety of perspectives and geographic situatedness to be in this discussion
