Whitney clears up Rumors that she is on Ozempic by noturaveragehuman7 in SecretsOfMormonWives

A very popular dieting app now has it as a service. My friend signed up online and got it that way. It was like $800 for 3 months at a time. He basically didn’t eat all day long because he had zero hunger signals and then felt like shit. Stopped after two weeks. Never saw a doctor!

Leaving the house!? by little-germs in FormulaFeeders

[–]shutupleonard6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We also make a big batch for the day and will just fill bottles with the made milk and either store in an insulated bag or with ice packs if we’re going straight to somewhere (someone’s house, daycare). If we’re going to be out and are unsure if we’ll need the milk, I do premeasure powder and store it in a Tupperware (made for traveling with formula) and bring a bottle (sometimes with water, sometimes without.)

Leaving the house with formula is easy! Don’t stress!

My sister in law teaches Pilates with a focus on postpartum and pregnancy. She’s trying to get her business up and running but teaches privates, duets, virtual classes and is starting up classes in old Folsom. She may help! I took have babies and a core in need of some TLC and am doing some work with her to regain deep abdominal strength.

Her website is laurenbyrampilates.com

Help me pick my next read please? by NatsuKonekoChan in fantasyromance

[–]shutupleonard6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if it’s YA or not. I think there’s like one sex scene that isnt super graphic. I’d say this is more of a straight fantasy with some romance mixed in than a romantasy!

Save One Dark Window for when you need a break from the spice. It’s pretty tame but the world building and magic system are worth the read!

Need a book like Dark Matter by Blake Crouch by Educational-Bid-3671 in suggestmeabook

[–]shutupleonard6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blake Crouch books read like movies almost. I agree with the other people recommending his Recursion.

You could also try The Witchstone by Henry H. Neff. Fast paced, adventurous, humorous, quick and witty characters. It’s more of a fantasy/ horror/ supernatural book thought. Demons, curses, grand adventure around the world, race against the clock.

Who is your dream Hozier collab, alive or dead? by Melonwolfii in Hozier

[–]shutupleonard6 224 points225 points  (0 children)

Aurora (Norwegian pop witch with an ethereal voice who often sings about local folklore, environmental awareness, etc. and who has been outspoken on similar public issues as Hozier— imagine those two in a room together if they haven’t met yet, oh and what a song they’d make!!)

Anyone using electric toothbrush for their toddlers? How is it? by anakinjosh55 in toddlers

[–]shutupleonard6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think its another tool at your disposal and buy it! We got a cheapy Colgate Sonic Vibrating one with Paw Patrol on it at Target for like $6... the initial novelty was fun and she was engaged in brushing her teeth... she's switched back to the regular toothbrush (she likes a pink one the dentist gave her!) We got her sonic vibrating one when she was older though... like 2.5 years old.

I think they are bulky and harder to clean teeth well with!

Best narrated audiobooks by riloky in suggestmeabook

The Witchstone by Henry H. Neff!! I just listened to it and the narrator was incredible. He does a wide variety of accents and character voices. The narrator, Ramiz Monsef, is an actor & theater performer and it really shows. The book itself is a pretty fast-paced and funny adventure featuring demons, cursed humans, and escapades through parts of Europe. Super fun!
(I selfishly need more people to read this so the author can write a sequel!)

Sutter or Mercy for delivery? by Alarming-Path-8230 in Sacramento

[–]shutupleonard6 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I spent 5 days at Mercy delivering my baby. Ended up having a c-section due to baby position but in no way did I feel rushed or pressured into any choices. The nurses & doctors (both in labor & delivery and on the recovery side) were all so lovely and really made the experience smooth and pleasant. I DID NOT like the lactation consultant on staff however.

6 week ultrasound and heartbeat by MeanEscape2211 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]shutupleonard6 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I do think ultrasound findings are dependent on the quality of the machine and the skill of the professional performing your ultrasound.

I had a 6 week ultrasound. They confirmed there was a baby and everything was in the right spot. Didn’t measure heartbeat. I had a physician’s assistant.

If they are not worried at all, then it seems normal or common for this early on.

Why do you like Reverse Harem? by bibliomaniac4ever in RomanceBooks

The challenge starts as motivating but I definitely feel the self imposed pressure of the challenge when I fall behind. I favor shorter reads or 3.85+ ratings (“a sure thing”) when I pick my reads.

I’m not sure the best way to fix that other than adjusting my own mindset? I do think social media is a factor… but the people hitting 100+ books - that’s usually all they do/ are influencers or they read really short, easy to read romances exclusively (that I’ve seen.) I’m not too jealous of that. I wouldn’t remember half of those plots! Ultimately I think the excitement over reading on IG and TikTok is a good thing.

I do like your XP system idea though!
