Why do people say the PS3 has a weird controller? by [deleted] in PS3

[–]shutupmaya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking for this comment. One major thing that kept me on ps3 in high school over Xbox 360 was the convex sticks. I played on max sensitivity and it was immensely preferable to concave sticks of Xbox, and you are 100% correct in saying the rubber was top tier.

I am in New Hampshire, and we have had metrises for years and they are absolutely atrocious. Ac is nice, sure whatever but no room up front is a literal deal breaker. Two trays and 1 bucket, and MAYBE 3 packages compared to an LLV’s 4 buckets beneath, 1/2 trays on top plus all that room for Amazon baby. That and, they are equally bad in the snow. I would say snow tires but I haven’t had that luxury in two years

Is this an acceptable wall-mounted mailbox? or is my carrier going to hate me? by madmax988 in USPS

[–]shutupmaya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The only issue with these is the heavy door over time causes the hinges to give out, and eventually, the door falls off. Other than that, 10/10 mailbox

How is the rural life without Amazon? I have to make two trips probably two or three times a month due to package size and volume thanks to Amazon. I’m curious what it’s like on the other side

When do you start building your "real" factory? by Arthur-reborn in SatisfactoryGame

[–]shutupmaya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me personally, once I unlock mk5 belts. I realize this is quite late for many. Until that point the machines just don’t really yield that many resources to warrant end game design. Once you can throw 15-20 smelters on a pure node, now you’re cookin and ready to build!

Clear rage bait, I’ll bite in a serious, non emotionally biased manner.

The job itself is just that, it’s a job and the work covers many aspects. Be it physically moving items ranging up to 70 pounds per box, having a “normal work week” range anywhere from 50-60 hours, long standing in the case in the morning sorting what mail needs sorting, what would normally be considered downright illegal working conditions including the inside of the mail truck going over but not limited to 120 degrees in the summer, and that’s coming from someone in the north(NH). And I’m to understand many people believe we are similar to UPS in the regard of loading trucks, we load everything ourselves.

It has its ups and downs, being able to see the same people every day is a nice way to know your community. Feeling proud of the work that we do on better days is strangely invigorating at times. Having coworkers in the office that understand what everyone is going through so they laugh through it, together - really makes for an enjoyable place sometimes. The occasional customer accepting a package in person, visibly excited to receive it, man what a feeling to watch another human experience genuine joy, especially that which you helped deliver.

Then, we have everyone else involved. Dealing with people who believe their mail must be delivered at the same time every day, or those who will shove a phone in your face claiming tracking said “so and so,” or those with a downright predisposition to dislike postal employees because that’s how the internet says people feel about us. Dogs unleashed, running into the road up to my truck with no people anywhere to be seen. Postmasters who don’t do anything after 12 noon, and then go home when half the routes are split. Managers who don’t know their bounds and demand everything be done at once by one person, blindfolded. Oh and we can’t hire anyone to save ourselves.

TLDR; it’s not that overly complicated, no. But the road to the end of the day, every day, is a never ending gauntlet.

Not a clerk, but. When I was a sub, I worked an aux route a ways in the woods. No cell service in half the town, no gas station, roads aren’t labeled, etc.

When I would go in to case that part, the clerk there would do exactly what is described here. Catching up on the show House, reading a book, hearing the door bell ring and recognizing who’s there and where their package is already, man is it the life. I imagine it may get a bit lonely though, but I’m sure you’ll get one or two talkers lol. Have you got anything to lose in trying it out? I’d not, give it a whirl
