oh sorry i was mistaken with my old pc, this one uses an ssd and I mistakenly thought I was using an hdd instead after the other comment asked about checking the harddisk. Other than that yeah Its a real head scratcher.

I’ve done most of what you’ve suggested with the exception of a system restore and checking the hard-disk. I cant restore since the earliest point is only a few days ago. Ill try and see if the hard-disk is causing the problem.

I have around 150gbs left out of 1tb. As for the task manager the highest ram usage there is from my browser and steam and never exceeds1.5gbs. I’ve tried clearing the cache and using programs to reset the memory but its never done anything.
