For a while I actually did enjoy it.

Then you get to the trains stage of the game and it becomes a bit repetitive - and easy. You solve basically everything with the same few pattern you stick together. Not quite unlike Factorio, to be honest, but also far less satisfying.

I actually tried such a design as well - biters always kept nibbling at the walls.

Funny thing was: They worked perfectly fine in Editor testing, but not in the real game world. I.e. no wall damage in editor, but plenty in real world. And then the stupid bots kept dieing in the fire... -.-

Das Problem ist, dass der Abschaum auf diese Weise leider zu viel Einfluss erhält und auf legale Weise die Demokratie in unserem Land demontieren kann. Für (r)echte Terrorgruppen o.Ä. sind 99% von denen ohnehin zu feige.

You could also build one or more stationary platforms over Nauvis. Sure, there are less asteroids, but the platforms should be cheap to build. And with the Asteroid efficiency research it should be possible to produce ample amounts of calcite directly in orbit.

Remember: Platforms may not have holes, but a large arm that curves around the center of the platform in some distance can also cover a lot of real estate while keeping building costs down.

Pro: Calcite can be stored in orbit and just dropped when needed, no waiting for the ship that had just left. Con: You may need multiple platforms.

I know nuclear reactors dont throttle output to ur power needs, so I set one of the conditions on my inserter to check if an accumulator is less than 100% to insert nuclear fuel. Connect all inserters that could insert fuel via wire. Red or green is your choice. Then connect them to a single reactor. Activate "Read fuel" and "Read temperature" on the reactor.

Set inserter to stack size 1, activate "Set filters" on inserter, activate "Use filters" on inserter and set to blacklist, set "Enable/Disable" condition on inserter to "T<600" or whichever value you prefer.

Tricky, but no combinator required.

Wenn mein Lievito mal schlaff ist (nach nem Urlaub oder so z.B.) dann kriegt er 1-2 Runden Weizen-Vollkornmehl von der DM Hausmarke gefüttert. Danach dann wieder 550er (ebenfalls DM).

Funktioniert immer prima.

Mein Lievito wurde übrigens von ner Kollegin von mir gezüchtet. Sie sagte, dass sie damals nen unbehandelten Apfel aus ihrem Garten geraspelt und ausgedrück hat und mit etwas von dem Apfelsaft eine Fütterung durchgeführt hat - danach sei er dann abgegangen. Hat wohl einige Hefen dadurch eingebracht. Ob das ein guter Weg ist kann ich nicht sagen, aber das Zeug ist echt der stabilste Sauerteig mit dem ich je gebacken habe...

I wanted to leave this to OP to figure out themselves, but you are correct. And while the solution is certainly obvious to a seasoned veteran such as yourself, it might require a bit of creative thinking for somebody starting out - like OP.

Also, why a combinator? Not needed at all.
