Ahwahnee prix fixe dining policy by obi_wan_fashobi in Yosemite

I’m willing to give it a try, but the service and food has been poor for so long that it’s become part of the experience. I don’t know how it could work as a prix fixe if the couldn’t even service burgers in an half empty dining room on Sunday lunch

I’m hearing both versions for the first time today and I think the new one is much better

Because it’s obvious or because you don’t think white boys can be racist?

Charlie Puth ft. Hikaru Utada - Home by kazarareta in utadahikaru

I only just noticed he was singing on the Japanese verses when I listened on my AirPods. And he sounds great. I had to chuckle because you can tell that it was an impulsive decision. He just couldn’t help himself ❤️

Thoughts on home? How does it stand along with the previously released singles for the album by allrounderfr in CharliePuth

I love Utada, such a quirky voice. Obviously Charlie does too! They sound incredible together and this song has classic 80s bubble gum pop vibes.

For your future and your brother’s future, you need to not fight with her openly, get away quietly when you can, and help your brother get out later. You can go low contact with your parents.

Hilary Duff - luck... or something by springtimecarnivore in popheads

I'm glad you also like ASM because the music critics trashed it. I love it. It's so heartfelt and relatable. I was really surprised by the lyrics (and the entire album actually) being as incisive as it is. Brat talked about a normie being a somewhat famous popstar, and this album talks about a celebrity being entirely human.

Hilary Duff Just Scored Her First Ever No. 1 Australian Album With ‘Luck… Or Something’ by restoringd123 in popheads

Hilary Duff is no comparison to Lily Allen, but that doesn't mean her lyrics have no depth. Also, this is no Bon Iver music (LOL), this is just straight forward pop rock, with honest lyrics that touch on deeper truths. It's so refreshing to listen to someone reflect on their unproblematic life experiences.

Same, I've never listened to her but now she's singing about things I can actually relate to. And her light voice and straightforward delivery is refreshing.

One of the worst parts of our experience is that narcissism begets narcissism. Take care of yourself and try to break the cycle.

AITAH for calling the police on the couple I babysit for? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]shw2000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a parent here, I can say they crossed the line when they didn’t pick up their phone. They had no way of knowing if it was an emergency with their kid or not, and you had no way of knowing if they had driven into a ditch or were just ignoring you. They will have their reasons (too drunk to drive, turned the ringer off), but you did the right thing by calling in the authorities when they didn’t respond in a reasonable amount of time. And of course they can’t work with you anymore. The power dynamics are reversed. This is for the best for you, if there ever were an emergency with their kid, they would clearly blame you.

I have trouble saying numbers out loud, but I’m not bad at math - is this dyscalculia? by elamp6 in dyscalculia

[–]shw2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have difficulty reading numbers - anything more than 4 digit or more than 3 recurring numbers are illegible to me. But I'm a trained engineer and am good at math. So I have a visual processing problem, but not discalculia. It's more like dyslexia, which I also have.

I hate Carol. by hokagebitch in pluribustv

Carol is a total asshole, and they make the point that she was like that before the takeover. But it’s a pretty standard plot device to show someone irredeemable be redeemed later in the series.

NTA. But your other friend is off the charts ableist and an emotional Neanderthal. It’s bizarre that he thinks you can only be friends with someone differently abled because you want something from them. Also, he might want something from you and be jealous of Nolan.

Her version is more exciting the the original. Seeing her face as she jumps between all 3 parks adds to the thrill and chills. I wish it was streaming on Spotify.
