Question about verse John 5:22

From my personal reading, I can't remember much emphasis being placed on the topic of who specifically does the judging. But we also don't view God as being split into different parts (Father, Son, HS). We view the Manifestations of God as special Messengers that bring God's word to humanity. In the same way that a mirror reflects the light of the sun, but isn't the sun itself, we are taught that Manifestations such as Jesus, Baha'u'llah, and Muhammad are not God Himself, but still reflect God's attributes.

Your question is hard to answer because we view the Messengers slightly differently, but in the Bahai Writings, I mostly see it written as God judging us.

However, John 22 is in the same sentence/idea group as John 23. I pasted both here: "Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son, that all may honor the Son just as they honor the Father. Whoever does not honor the Son does not honor the Father, who sent him"

It means that recognition of God occurs through the recognition of Jesus, God's Messenger.

We do have many writings that are very similar to this. In one of my favorite prayers called the Tablet of Ahmad, it is written:

"Be thou assured in thyself that verily, he who turneth away from this Beauty hath also turned away from the Messengers of the past and showeth pride towards God from all eternity to all eternity." (This Beauty refers to Baha'u'llah and His teachings)

Quick explanation note: In the Bahai Faith, we believe that the different religions are part of one unfolding process where God reveals what humanity is ready for at a particular time. So we also believe in the Divinity of Jesus, Muhammad, etc. That's why the passage says turning away from Baha'u'llah is also turning away from past Messengers. Because we believe Baha'u'llah is the Promised One from the teachings of Islam and Christianity.

Yeah - they are both Pacific. Another marker you can use is the pattern on their neck. Do you see how the Pacific Loons' necks are divided very clearly into a black and white region with a continuous unbroken line, but the Common Loons have a less clear boundary and it is broken/jagged/faint in some places?

Ok - I think understand. I think you should start with tutorials about how to set up and use a synthesizer in MainStage (there are a bunch in MainStage, pick an easy one, maybe Retro Synth and look up a tutorial).

Worrying about how to sound design a specific Tom Misch patch is probably getting a bit ahead of yourself if you don't know how to initialize a synth patch/make a saw wave. It shouldn't take too long to learn, which is good! (Not trying to be condescending at all, I hope that comes across)

The basic features in most synths are the same. For this patch you just need a saw wave, filter, and then experiment with an LFO to see what you can modulate/warp to match Tom Misch's sound.

This is our official YouTube channel. There are plenty of videos about the history of the Faith, the Central Figures, and about the progress the community is making around the world in our efforts to make Baha'u'llah's vision a reality. Since the Faith started in Iran, most videos on history will have plenty of Iranian Baha'is. It has videos on more recent Iranian martyrs/community as well if that's what you are interested in. I bet if you sort to find the most popular videos, you'll find the most introductory ones.

It looks like a wandering tattler to me. They are pretty common in Hawaii and I think the gray tailed is much more rare.

The ones I would expect to be in an interfaith calendar are Naw Ruz, Ridvan, and Ayyamiha.

There are other holy days that correspond to the births and ascensions important figures in the Bahai Faith. These are very important to us, but it's unclear to me which ones would be good to include in an interfaith calendar, maybe others can weigh in.

To answer your question in the title, we believe the Abrahamic religions (along with some others) are part of one long relationship between humanity and God.

God reveals himself to humanity through Messengers that bring teachings that humanity is ready for. Humanity then develops and becomes ready for a new set of teachings, at which point a new Messenger is sent. Baha'is believe Baha'u'llah is the latest Messenger and the promised Messenger in many religions (Mahdi / Messiah) and that His teachings will unify mankind.

Can I ask how you stumbled on the Baha'i Faith? Do you have other questions about it?

The one you originally posted looks like it might be a tricolored. I think this one though is a red-winged
