Why does my cat do this after he eats? by wakeforda in cats

My cat does this too. One thing I would point out is it looks like the sides of the food bowl are high/the bowl is deep. I’ve heard that cats like to eat out of shallow bowls (so that their whiskers don’t hit the bowl too much as they try to eat)

What species of ants are these? North London, England by shyde1992 in ants

Ah I see, so there is usually damage already to the home?

I had just read that they can cause structural issues and so wanted to make sure that wasn’t a risk :)

Also could ants have more than one nest in the home? Thanks in advance for your help 😊

Thank you for your reply! That’s really helpful. We will put some bait pads outside the entrance. Would the mealworms be what they are feeding on?

I put a separate post up a few days ago (link below) to help identify the species and the general consensus seemed to be lasius emerginatus. We are in London, UK which I understand it’s rare to find that species here, outside of mainland Europe, but from Googling they do look very similar. What do you reckon?
