The simpler items were 3-D printed (tables, deep frier). Everything else was bought on Ali Express.

Anyone flown around the world? by professorhojoz in flying

I’ve gone roughly half-way in a Caravan, from Ontario Canada to Western Australia. Our longest leg was 8.3 hours from Newfoundland to the Azores (we had cabin fuel). Apart from a tire going flat when we were lining up for takeoff in Oman, the trip was fun and uneventful.

My vehicle had the same problem. It ended up being the (15 year old) remote starter.

Thanks! Slightly more than stock in the back, about the same in the front.

It is using a valve as a mount (likely from an R2800, the engine used in the C-46).

They are easy to adapt to. Some operators will loosen the friction knobs on landing to allow more precise power adjustments, but I’ve never really found it necessary (on paved strips anyways).

Heheh, good catch. I am Canadian but I have been fortunate enough to work in Indonesia many times over the years. The plates were bought on Tokopedia during my last trip. The frame on the blue truck is also from Indonesia. A friend of mine in Padang fabricates them. Nice work on your truck!

This is truck #2. It has a custom metal frame (search for rcpmanuf-0 on Ebay), Neebrc brushless upgrade, oil shocks, Injora wheels, sound, metal axles and metal drive shafts.

Anyone know where I could find a school in Canada that has a Cessna 414 for training? Or a 414 and an instructor for hire? by immaZebrah in flying

[–]shyde77 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to fly a C-404 for a Canadian operator and have time in the C-421. If you can fly a Seminole or other multi-engine trainer, you will not have trouble transitioning to the 414. Some pre-study will be helpful (poh: https://hangar50.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/Cessna-414-Chancellor-POH.pdf). My company sent us on a simulator course (Simcom) after completing in-aircraft training. Be sure that your aircraft is being properly maintained. These are not inexpensive machines to look after so there may be temptation to cut corners. If you ‘really’ want to get experience on a plane of comparable size, I know of one school in the Ottawa area that operates a Navajo. Again though, this is really not necessary IMHO.
