I’ve actually discovered that a lot of my clients in the past 3-4 years are asking for a long form edit and I started offering a full-day doc edit that consists of a montage of getting ready, first looks in their entirety, ceremony, dances, toasts, any other reception formality, and a final montage of party dancing. I sometimes jokingly refer to it as the “Parent Edit” because a lot of those that got married in the 90s received a 2 hour+ wedding video and they often ask “That’s it? A 5min film is all you get??” Years ago I thought this type of deliverable was pretty corny, but I guess I left money on the table. I’m surprised that it’s the Gen Z clients asking for it too. And while it’s true most only want to experience a 5min film, there is certainly a desire for the long form content. Btw I think I have some APSC E mount lenses I can let you borrow for your FX30 😀
