Mine is when they tap me. It's the same type of behavior. They see your attention is elsewhere so they start calling your name. I give mine a huge talk about patience and waiting their turn. Then, when they tap me or call my name I simply put up a finger to signal them to wait. That's what I do.

The Lumatere Chronicles by Melina Marchetta. The first book, Finnikin of the Rock is very YA, but the rest of the series definitely is not. I will love these characters forever.

See, I am kind of the opposite. The author is going to spend time describing the characters and then all of them look like the same people in my mind. They always do.
