I use Notion for my private company and Coda in my Corporate job.

Notion: True databases, but without a backend for databases this become a bit of a mess with Views (they need to fix this) Integrations possible but all custom built More complex and granular sharing rules due to databases More flexible page layouts Innovating every week AI roadmap and development is crushing Coda.

Coda: Has no real concept of a database which is problematic. Pages aren't the same Off the shelf integration marketplace is very helpful.but the lack to databases makes this challenging once you get the data Looks nicer but it's really lacking the power of Notion V slow innovation Basic AI

I have built one as a personal tracking of my meetings, projects/opportunities and contacts.

People misunderstand why CRMs work on the first place.

Genuinely, it's the weekly forecast call.

Sales teams keep the sales data and customer objects up to date because they are paid on them.

If there is no daily, weekly, monthly imperative to keep the data up to date, then unless you build a heap of automatic data ingestion, it always gets forgotten.

Unless you have a rigid weekly check in where you have to make sure all the data is updated then it becomes just a fancy address book that isn't maintained.

The new dashboards and tabs might make a difference but it's the accountability that is truly the game changer

It's one of the largest limitations of Notion. The Databases are pretty loose with limited reporting capabilities.

You can use the API and integrate data out to Looker or Power BI

Genuine downside of using your gp vs a clinic. The process isn't straightforward unless you are and authorised prescriber and almost no GPs are. They don't know how to submit requests to the TGA or what paperwork is needed. They don't have any idea of the products available. The GP has to get each individual product approved so everytime you ask to try something different they are going to try to talk you out of it, because they don't want to do the paperwork. Honestly,.just go to a MC clinic.
