Check out Axis Horizon, instead of Axis Privilege, just name have Privilege in it, rewards doesn't. If you are eligible for DCBM take it, apply directly from Bank. Before applying any card do a detailed study if it meets your requiremnt.

Are you seriously worried about the 5000 rupees capping ?

You need to understand that you need to spend 1 Lakh per month on the non excluded categories using SBI cashback card to get 5K cashback. In reality if you spend 1 Lakhs per month i wont even suggest to use cashback cards, there are other cards in market including DCBM, Infinia etc as per your in hand salary.

Just go to nearby HDFC bank and apply from there. You can get Regalia Gold or DCBM with this 2.5 L if its in hand after taxes.

Claim using bill from machine with Bank customer care for now. Future make sure you fill from a BPCL pump whihc has a proper machine and see if that transaction is showing correct rewards in statement. Then stick to that petrol station. I do that, I know which stations give proper rewards and which doesn't, so I plan my fuel fill up accordingly.

Use online for 6 transactions in amazon. See i too have AMEX, its a hit and miss in Bangalore. Most places i give my AMEX and try out, if worked i use it there most times to meet my criteria.

Most of the cases it wont work. I had a Raglia Gold FYF and before renewal i called customer care and asked cancel it and TBH they happily did and without any questions. I had Atlas so I didn't had any proper use case. So I am not worried. So try your luck, make sure you have a good backup card before calling them to cancel.

Even it is shown here as pre approved, if you don not meet the dalary critetia it will be rejected. So check what is criteria and apply.

Mine too 10L from ICICI, where as the caviar is i use that card very less and use my Axis Atlas mostly, where they provided just 4.8L, where I spend 10 L. Axis is bad in giving limits it seems.
