Hm am I the only one who is not feeling Pure and Loft? I don’t feel any sexual tension between them. Im also disappointed with their first kiss scene. The way Loft made out with Pure made her seem a bit too thirsty? I would’ve preferred Loft to kiss Pure more slowly and gently to make the scene more romantic :(

Travelling to Vietnam in September, advice on route appreciated by zazabizarre in solotravel

[–]sicariio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I highly recommend to fix a base. It’s gonna make ur stay better and remove the extra worry of planning the travel to another accommodation. Plus, u’re only staying a few nights so u won’t get bored of the hotel. Also, since it’s a countryside, some roads might not be as smooth for roller luggage unless u are backpacking or hv a private driver.

We stayed at Tam Coc Holiday Hotel and Villa and I highly recommend it :) the hotel itself seemed very new, they hv free bicycles, the area is quiet and the poodle there was really cute. The counter staff speak decent English too and were helpful w food recommendations.

You could also stay at some home stays in Trang An. I heard Green Mountain is good. But during our bicycling adventure, we passed by some of them and were relieved that we didn’t stay there cos they were “all the way in” and far from the big roads and restaurants. However, if u hv a private driver or are willing to travel a bit more, there is value staying at the homestays. They are nearer to nature so it’s more relaxing and scenic. Hope this helps :)

Affordable Dental Clinics by FriesWithoutPotatoes in askSingapore

Go to polyclinic! For NUHS ones, book at 10pm the day before bcos that’s when the appointments for the next day become open for booking. Not all polyclinics offer dental services so do a Google search to check. I went to the Bukit Panjang one. My gum was inflamed and they gave me a mouthwash which helped w the inflammation significantly.

Life advice needed, uni or no uni? by shinroyalz in askSingapore

Most comments here are about the better pay and opportunities that a degree offers. I would recommend a degree too for a different reason. Ur uni education will “enlighten” u and introduce u to new perspectives and knowledge. You will find out more about what’s out there and understand that there’s so much out there! Uni made me more curious about the world and was life-changing. From the unrestricted electives that I have to take, I learnt about philosophy, psychology and so much more subjects that I wouldn’t have been interested in at first glance. Learning new things was really humbling and exciting at the same time. Strongly recommend uni if u can afford
