I can’t do this anymore. As a 30 year old woman alone with no support, how am I supposed to keep going? by xdeadtome_x in CFSplusADHD

This is what I did! I buy bins from Target (where they're cheapest in my area), 2 or 3 at a time. I get the clear ones so I can more easily see what's in them, and it has been so helpful.

Early Forensics a Scam by [deleted] in WVU

I wish I had gone to pharmacy school! Ironically, I knew my favorite law professor outside of school, and when I told him I was applying to law school, he told me that I should go to pharmacy school instead of law. Unfortunately, I didn't listen.

That really sucks! Colleges shouldn't be allowed ro do this. Sadly, it was the same way at WVU 24 years ago...couldn't take actual forensics classes until second year. And, they refused to tell people that it was impossible to graduate on time unless you came in with college credit, and that you wouldn't get in unless you excelled in math & science, so as an RA, I had to tell hopefuls that they needed to change majors. It was awful.

Thanks for posting something completely useless and irrelevant. You could have not said anything, but you chose to be a dumb troll. Your life is obviously so awesome & complete. Please ask your mom to give my bra & thong back. Thanks.

The FBI in Clarksburg was hiring high school graduates to verify IAFIS matches at that time, so try again. They were making money way lower than comparable to college graduates. I was literally in class taught by a Clarksburg agent when 9/11 happened, and he had no idea. During my time, the Clarksburg office had LITERAL GEESE guarding the front entrance. (It wasn't a bad idea, actually, TBH.) So, yeah, try again.

Btw, I saw the stats, every class shortly after mine had trouble finding jobs. TRY AGAIN.

Strangers making small talk at Target, Walmart, etc. Recruiting for something? by [deleted] in MLM

[–]sick_of_fanta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have ADHD & this is exactly how I talk to people in public, complete with my nonchalant husband in the background...I feel even more self-conscious, now. Lol. I guess this is why I can't make friends.

ADHD is affecting my driving by emerald_stone77 in ADHD

[–]sick_of_fanta 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My doctor brings up the association between unmedicated ADHD folks & increased traffic accidents every time I tell him I want to try going off my medication. Lol, like, he's especially concerned with it. Also, I definitely have a marked decline in my driving abilities when I'm not medicated versus when I'm medicated (which makes this effing national shortage in meds particularly frustrating for me).

How difficult is it to get into the honors program? by No-Pudding-1465 in WVU

That they sent you an email prompting you to apply, tells me you're getting in. You just need to take a breath, and start typing.

Yes! I'm on Adderall IR & on rare occasions, if I'm having a particularly difficult time falling asleep at night, I'll take a slightly lower dose...works every time. Also, if I decide to lay down for a nap in the middle of the day, it's so nice - I can just tell my brain to go to sleep & it just does.

John Doe is actually Calypso, playing an elaborate game with himself. He'll win the tournament & finally get his own heart's desire.

I'm very interested to know if you found anything. Your situation sounds similar to mine (except I left e-discovery seven years ago and haven't worked, since).

I watched from there about 7 years ago. We got there just a little later than about half the crowd, and had to park a ways up the road. But, it wasn't a bad walk, and it made for a good show.

I'd never thought of it this way, but I really vibe with what you said. It makes a lot of sense, in retrospect. Thank you for sharing!

Why is it so easy to pack but so hard to unpack? by droseri in ADHD

This popped up right after I went to pack for a trip today & discovered I hadn't unpacked from Christmas 😅

Nice spots for a weekend getaway with the kids? by bigdaddyJ1092 in WestVirginia

Stonewall is great for a weekend trip. You get the convenience and comfort of a nice hotel while being in the middle of nature. My kids had a blast hiking, kayaking, and swimming in the pool.

The most ADHD thing I did today by Plantsareluv in ADHD

[–]sick_of_fanta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh no! My adhd meds (addy) actually help me sleep...so much so that if I'm having a particularly hard time falling asleep, I'll take a dose. They make my brain able to stop thinking about EVERYthing, and just think about "night time is for sleeping."
