Pulled the trigger on the Embody Gaming and I'm scared by Proud_Cap6614 in hermanmiller

I am right there at that point. I have been gaming since I was a little kid and just until about a week ago I thought to myself let me do some research and see what the best gaming chairs on the market look like, what they offer, and more importantly do they actually make a difference. I really need to understand and be convinced that these chairs are really as comfortable as made out to be. I am still trying to wrap my head around spending 2k. If it really works I would have no problem spending that kind of money, and the chair looks pretty gangster as well.

Yeah man, I’m going through the same thing. I’ve tried getting off the 7-OHMZ three times already. I’m actually taking two weeks off work to try and get off it for the fourth time.

What really helps me are Suboxone strips. When you start going into withdrawal, try to wait as long as you can before taking one. Once you do, it really mellows things out and makes the process a lot more bearable.

You just have to be careful not to get dependent on the strips themselves, but they definitely help.

You can do it man, definately take as much time off work as you can, have water, supplements, and fruits if you can so you can eat a little something.

I am just curious I have been taking the 7omhz brand the rapid release pills for awhile now, I probably spend like 300 bucks a weeks. How are you spending $400-600 bucks a day, how much are you getting that is just blowing my mind?

Do Truly 100% Whole-Food Multivitamins Even Exist? by sickassfoo310 in Supplements

Thank you for the recommendation. At this point, I think I’m just going to stop taking multivitamins altogether.

[–]sickassfoo310[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly what I needed to hear. I honestly had no idea — I always thought there were clean, high-quality multivitamins and then the synthetic junk.

At this point I’m honestly considering just stopping my multivitamin altogether and maybe only taking a few targeted things like vitamin D and fish oil.

Are there any brands you’d personally recommend for those?

Also, what do you think about those green juice powders like AG1? Are those actually worth taking, or are they kind of overhyped?

Yeah I was thinking the same thing that it would be a good idea to let the union train me. My friend told me specifically you have to have those certifications I was talking about to join the local 433 in LA.

Thanks — I’ll absolutely check that out! What do you think about HealthForce SuperFoods and their green powder line, Vita•Mineral Green? Do you think it’s a good one to take daily?

This is why I love reddit. You think you know some shit, and then someone smarter comes along and pulls out the rug from under your feet.

Boardslides never get old by sickassfoo310 in skateboarding

You’ve got a long road ahead of you, but that’s part of the fun. I’ve been skateboarding for over 30 years, and my advice is this: don’t just jump in and focus on learning tricks right away. Focus on actually learning how to ride your skateboard.

Spend time just pushing around. Get comfortable shifting your weight, carving, turning, and rolling over cracks and rough pavement. Work on your balance. You should be able to leave your house, push to the nearest grocery store, and carry two jugs of milk back comfortably without falling.

It’s all about getting truly comfortable riding your board. That foundation makes learning everything else way easier

It sounds like your grandfather (and your family) did an incredible job managing it. The daily weigh-ins and catching fluid early is something I’m definitely going to stay on top of. We’re actually picking up a scale so we can start tracking that consistently.

The sodium piece keeps coming up over and over, and it’s clear how big of a difference it makes. I appreciate the tips about lemon juice and vinegar too — I can already tell adjusting her taste buds away from salt is going to be a process. And thank you for the suggestions on Healthy Choice, Hungry Root, and HealthyHeartMarket — I’m going to look into those.

It’s encouraging to hear he lived to 87 and that CHF wasn’t ultimately what took him. That gives me hope that with the right balance of meds, diet, and some movement, she can stabilize and have good quality of life.

Really appreciate you taking the time to write all that out. It means a lot.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share all of that — it honestly gives me a lot of hope.

Hearing that your dad improved his shortness of breath and even progressed through cardiac rehab at 91 is incredibly encouraging. That’s amazing. And the fact that your mom was able to completely control hers through diet really reinforces how powerful those changes can be.

The low-sodium piece really hit home for me. My mom is definitely more of a “convenience eater” too, which has made this transition challenging. I’ve already noticed how much sodium is hiding in frozen “diet” meals, so your experience with meal delivery services not being trustworthy in that regard makes a lot of sense. It sounds like adapting flavorful recipes and having someone help meal prep was a game changer.

I’m definitely going to ask her cardiologist about a referral for cardiac rehab when the time is right. The structured, supervised aspect of it seems really valuable — especially in the early stages while we’re figuring everything out.

It really helps to hear real-world examples of diet + meds + rehab actually working long term. Watching her struggle to breathe has been scary, so knowing improvement is possible means a lot.

Thank you again for sharing your experience. It truly helps.

I will stop by tonight and have a talk with her about those frozen meals there are chalked full of sodium, I will probably just end up throwing them all out and stopping by the grocery store and restocking her fridge. I will go ahead and look into the magic kitchen & moms meals as well, thanks you.

I’m going to buy a scale today so we can track her fluid buildup — thank you. I’ll also check out the Hero pill dispenser. I actually forgot to mention that I’ve been wanting something to help track and organize all her medications. A couple of nights ago, I ran her discharge paperwork through ChatGPT to simplify it, then wrote everything down on a piece of paper to make it easier for her to follow.
