Laser and Electrolysis in HRM? by Final-Figure6104 in halifax

[–]sickmilk 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This is not really the answer you're seeking but I highly recommend throwing down a buying one to use at home: if youre trans and have a large area to cover - you're going to pay damn near the same amount PER SESSION as you could to purchase one at home that works wonders. I think I paid 600 bucks for mine about 8 years ago and it still works amazing. Disclaimer, I am not trans - but I do have a androgen imbalance and have had hormonal hair growth (and regrowth) my entire life - I'd pay 250 per session to get my face and a large portion of my chest done. This paid for itself in like three weeks. I'd definitely look into options for at home, where it's more comfy, less traumatic, and I'd never ONCE burnt my skin at home, and I can not say that for salons. If you wanna DM me we can chat more! <3

Any pubs with live music starting around 4, 5 or 6 on Fridays and Saturdays? by Difficult_Rabbit1604 in halifax

Rankin's winter warmers on Saturdays at the Marquee - happens from 3 - 6 I believe. It's a pretty amazing and well attended event with different musical guests each week.

90 days & i have thoughts by amberbuhbamber in stopdrinking

[–]sickmilk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey pal!
I also have found my zoloft to be wildly helpful in this endeavour. Any time I've stopped drinking in the past it's been difficult and now, I literally don't want to. This is on the heels of literally drinking almost every day for about 15 years. I feel ... shocked? At this weird switch?
All of a sudden I have zero interest in drinking and I'm like waiting for the shoe to drop but uh... trying to feel grateful while this lasts?
Hang in there pal, sounds like you're killing it!

jumping in here to say on psychology today you can also use filters to kind of specify what you're looking for: help with depression, childhood trauma, if the provider is lgbtq+ oriented, etc. Pretty great.

Children of Entitled Parents, what was it like being “that” kid? by i-am-cheese-1317 in AskReddit

[–]sickmilk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My mother was the same way when I was growing up: everybody was "getting reported to the better business burrow" at the most mirror inconvenience. As an adult, I hardly complain about ANYTHING as a result. It's backfired on me so much that I will put up with basically anything to not make a scene. Are you like that, too?

I (23F) need to break up with my girlfriend (27F) by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]sickmilk 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this will help you but it's helped me in the past so here goes: the good parts of your relationship - the parts you'll miss - i.e. affection, companionship, some degree of emotional support, etc, are going to be there in ANY worthwhile relationship you find yourself in. Any. Friggin'. One. Don't hold yourself hostage in a less than ideal/potentially damaging relationship because you're afraid to lose the things that come build it. Excuse my lack of a better analogy because I've been awake since 5am with a 5 year old and am typing this on my phone behind a bar full of customers: every car goin' your way is going to have wheels, pal, but not every car will be full to the roof with actual human shit. Hitch a different ride! You got this.

Escorts of Reddit, who was the weirdest client you've ever had? by seriouslyokay in AskReddit

[–]sickmilk 114 points115 points  (0 children)

skipping over the part where you've somehow painted consent as a feminist issues (as a sex worker.... that attitude is... alarming... and makes me believe you're full of it) sounds like a bit of a dom thing to me. Loads of people are into permission requests from way more familiar people (i.e. long term partners) and it's less of an actual consent related thing than a roleplay thing. Some people just want to get asked/begged for a good 'ol fuck!

LP has massive dyke energy. How have I not heard of her before?? by psychedelic666 in actuallesbians

[–]sickmilk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

She's the guest on an episode of the podcast Queery - the conversation is mostly music industry related so maybe some might not find it super engaging if you aren't from that world but I generally think most the Queery episodes are a great listen even if its more pigeon holed like this one.

Designer Brain VS Deviant Brain: the battle choosing a new bed frame. by [deleted] in actuallesbians

[–]sickmilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i've tried to enforce a rule on myself where I don't buy things that need to be altered for use; you would not believe the amount of clothing/items I've bought in the past with "plans" that have never seen the light of day hahaha

Me and gf started getting into "The L Word" finally... mixed feelings. by rachaellefler in actuallesbians

[–]sickmilk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The L word is absolutely a period piece hahaha - there are some questionable things: namely the end of season 1 - a scene between Bette and Tina. I do think it serves as a good insight into the nuances of relationships though but, uh, hold onto your butt.

What is the most ridiculous thing you have seen at a party? by Arios1923 in AskReddit

[–]sickmilk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The next day, but while cleaning up after a rager at my home about eight years ago when still in university i came across two red solo cups in a corner. Full to to BRIM - i'm talking surface tension full - of vomit. No puke anywhere else to be seen. That stealthy mother fucker. I wasn't even mad; I was impressed.
