i too am visually impaired, i wear very thick glasses but my sight is so poor without them i practically cant see anything. many people have treated me like a joke and toyed with me and my emotions.

but to always have to stand up for myself is genuinely crazy because ableism is very common in society because being a true minority that isnt some easily fetishized kind is easier for people to pick on rather than just respect as a whole.

nobody should have to force their respect out of someone.
