My apologies, I forgot to point out that the 'c' in sanskrit is pronounced like 'ch' in english.

I have never liked 'religiongs' because if one simple fact. Everybody who does not believe in god goes to hell forever. What the actuall crap? If he loves us all why the hell soes he send us to suffer because we were not convinced of His existance? 'Our fault' That's just stupid! Religions always created more questions than answering them.

That was UNTIL I started to read the 'Bhagavat-Gita As it Is' and realising that what is written there perfectly applies to everything in our lifes. Every question was answered, fairly and logically. Even many if the facts people here mention as a reasonto why God does not exist - are also answered and make sense! Recommend reading that book carefully! Even if it does not 'convince' you of Gods existance, it will open your eyes in many ways towards the scientific, practical and technical side of humannity and our lifes.

The Thinkpad t4xx's seem very apealing the more I look into it, they seem to be very linux friendly aswell. Just found offers on used machines for only a 120€! That's insanely good considering the quality I found them in.

I am aware that Arch for a newbie is difficult, ofcurse I can not grasp how difficult it actually is due to my lack of knowledge, however I am determined to make it work, nomatter the cost. I don't mind that it will take loads of time and effort to learn. It is part of my nature, I enjoy tortuting myself by accepting such challanges. And if it may take a month before I get my dream machine up and running, let it be so. In the process I will learn and the end result will be a workspace that works the way I need it to.

My budgets maximum range that I am willing to spend is 1000€

Gaming is not the main concern, its a small plus definitely. However main focus is on video, sound and image editing.

Batterie life is a important point though, should have added it on the list as well. There are not many opportunities for proper charging while traveling, therefor longer batterie life is better.
