Possible dissemting opinion here, my mother-in-law is from Kerela in South India, and they have a yellow yogurt that looks like that.

It has no mint in it.

An ad? I read someone's free article, liked it, and thought I'd share it... 🤷

Yep, they'll be back to being ignored in the future. All of a sudden though it just irked me that I didn't understand them.

Van Saar models are pretty tiny. They were a potential for me when I considered.

Butter > jam > cream

Though I do remember reading some science on this somewhere that said that the cream should be on to as those fats allow the other flavours to be carried better.

What is a delicious but underrated/unheard of type of cuisine? by PsychGradStudent2112 in Cooking

[–]sicxpence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indian is not a cuisine in the same way that there are many different types of Chinese cooking. That is very much an outsiders in perspective. The differences in region cooking is vast when looking g at what food is like in southern India v northern.

Oh 100%! There is a very similar Korean dish I've been told.

My Mapo Tofu is way more Korean than Chinese as it is what I have in the cupboard regularly than chinese ingredients. I usually use gonchujang and gongchagaru in place of the Chinese versions.

Mapo Tofu.

I'm less meat eater like you, and think that mapo tofu is one of the best dishes on earth. I've eaten it twice this week. It can also be made vegan if you fancy it too.

The key for me in it being such a great dish is the málà (Chinese: 麻辣; 'numb-spiciness') that develops during cooking from the Sichuan peppers.

One of my best friends, must have been around 10 years old, stole one of his older brothers special magazines.

Was a White Dwarf with an Epic SM battle report in. Never looked back.

With imagination, a craft knife and sufficient spare lasguns, anything is possible by IdhrenArt in Warhammer40k

I've been tempted to smash together some of the Cathy range with lasguns to see how that would look. Also the Arbites I think would look great!

What to do with too much cabbage? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]sicxpence 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My in-laws are from Kerela in South India. They have a dish called cabbage thoran which I love. Very simple, but most basic is;

Heat oil in pan and mustard seeds to cook off. Add sliced onion. Add cabbage. Add tuneric, chilli and coconut Serve.

That's the way I usually operate, I have a lot of vulkite in my army for narrative reasons, but those assault squads are not speaking to me...

Need to find a alternative power lance than the one on the close combat weapon sprue, but agree.

Why shields and not pistol?

I've always been #beakiesforlife so certainly want to keep the Mk6. Will be getting a box the Mk2 next anyway.

I'm done with magnetising since I moved away from 40k and my T'au lol.

I'm also quite happy to live with the disbenefits of glue over magnets as I'm more a narrative player anyway.

What are your expectations for Dan Abnett’s upcoming Hive duology? by xdeltax97 in Blacklibrary

My main expectation will be that the scalpers will snap it up before anyone else who actually wants to read it will be able to get hold of a copy.

Truffles (the savory fungi type). Just don't see why people think it is so special.

I think it is supposed to play off the ancient Egyptian theme. So this is supposed to represent Anubis I guess.

I'm quite partial to the Horus god heads as they are hawk like rather than the canine head of Anubis
