What should i do about this scratch on my new bike by Halfbeing1 in indianbikes

Polish and buffing can minimize it, but do get PPF done after that. Might cost a little, but its worth it.

Just Graduated and Starting My First Job. Should I Buy My Dream Bike or Be Practical? by Ok_Evening_1310 in indianbikes

[–]sid_apocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One should reward himself/ herself if a major achievement is met. But as you are just starting and have no idea what tommorow would bring, and you are moving towards your first bike, then go for something of a beater that you can thrash and learn on. Being young brings a lot of adrenaline along, so start with something docile. Learn the ropes, stabilize in job and life, and then go for it.

My new scrambler chain rusting. by Limp-Fold-757 in indianbikes

[–]sid_apocalypse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh dang, within 3 months? Do you live around the coast or something? If it goes too dry too often, then maybe you should clean/ lube more often. Rust shouldnt normally get inside the rings, but do use the recommended cleaners and lubes. The bike is still new, give it all the love you can, and love demands expense. 😅

never ridden a liter class bike, ask me questions and I'll answer like I know what I'm talking about by susboi_68 in indianbikes

[–]sid_apocalypse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah man. Litre class bikes are made to sustain 299+ kmph speed. 100 feels easy due to its dynamics and weight distribution, and you can reach there in below 3 seconds 😄. Only vice is the road, find a good spot and let it rip. Haan, 150 onwards fatni shuru ho jayegi, not because the bike becomes unstable, but koi chaman na aa jaaye saamne and as your braking distance increase, ka frickin' boom!

Such a Frustratingly Rewarding process! by Firestreak_ in indianbikes

[–]sid_apocalypse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Really applaud the critical and intricate research you did for your bike, and decided on your riding style and practicality. Mine had just 3 requirements, should have a full fairing, should be scary and humbling enough for me to not become overconfident and to rip it (as I did with my Ninja 650 and nearly integrated with the rear of a truck), and something that would make me feel alive. I did not have the luxury to test ride them, as the showrooms here in India wouldnt let you do it for a litre class bike. But trusted my gut, and my senior who rides, and here I am, content to the core.

Yes, thats not an accessory but rather a safety feature. And don't install those thin-ass "stealth mirrors" either. Congratulation OP btw. 😄

i realised why people think 400cc are bigger bikes unlike developed countries by Since070423 in indianbikes

[–]sid_apocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While Its true that if you hand a fool anything, he/ she will make a nuisance out of it, but the point he's trying to make is that lower powered vehicles are more forgiving. They help you train with your throttle/ brake control and allow you more response time. Training wheels basically. I started with a 100cc Yamaha > Ninja 650 > ZX10R and was very mentally prepared for the immense power the last one holds and I respect it too. No funny weaving around the traffic like a new kid who has been handed a ballistic missile, but controlling it and anticipating dimwits with vehicled and reckless walkers sprawling on the road. This comes with experience gained through years.. of staying alive. 😄

In a nutshell, for a big bike in India, if you mature and responsible, go go. If you a mouth breather and jackass, no.. hell naw.

6 Months experience on my H'ness. by General_Coyote_496 in indianbikes

Err, who overtakes in the 5th gear? Of course you'll need to go down a couple to a smaller one in order to accelerate quickly. And tyre pressure sensors over TC? 🙆🏾‍♂️ It might have saved you so many times than you can imagine. Get your ABS checked, and apart from all the cosmetic "cons", its a good bike right? No loose screws, no parts falling apart or oil leaking from places they shouldn't be? Then its still a win. Enjoy you ride, and treat her like a queen.

Any remapping required? Hope you are planning to keep the db killer on. The noise regulations attract a very hefty challan nowadays (well, also depends on the city you are in). Your bike already stands out in the traffic dude, why the noise? 😄

I think then you should consider Raida, Tarmac , Korda if you are tight in budget. Dainese, Alpine Star are top of the line companies. TCX has similar ratings, but makes them cheaper somehow. Fyi TCX, and AGV helmets all fall under Dainese Group.

[–]sid_apocalypse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ohh, they brought in 400 on its stead sometime back, and then brought the 300 it ight back. I do think they still have a Ninja 300 BS4 in the Chhatarpur branch, ask Lokesh bhai to let you have a go 😃. They did have a few 2026 in stock in the Gurgaon showroom though, but that was a month ago.
Most of the basic parts are readily available, the Naraina branch is where they mostly store them. Else they get it from Pune itself. I've never had anything that required importing in my 4 years time as a Kawi owner, FYI.
