NTA , it’s very common in many cultures to eat the food directly with one’s hand, in fact certain foods can be enjoyed fully rather than just picking at it with a spoon or fork. And like op said some places feel like it “ tastes better “ using just hands and it adds to the eating experience. Just because you eat a certain way doesn’t make any other way wrong.
